silverpig
For people who grew up in the '90s, you'll remember a great Vancouver band called Moist. I loved them back in the day, and got to see them live at Arts County Fair at UBC in April of 2000. They basically broke up in 2001 and took a bunch of time off for family stuff, but they have just gotten the band back together and have recorded a new album. They played a show at the Commodore(!) last year just before Christmas, but unfortunately I missed it. Anyone else excited about them coming back? Their new single - Mechanical, just went up on youtube.

VanGnome
Moist continues to be one of my all time favorite bands. It's ridiculous how partial I am to the 90's era music. I couldn't even listen to much more than a minute of the new Psy song with Snoop Dogg. Then again, my buddy stated: "Now that you have a daughter, you are duty bound to loathe all new music from the moment of her birth for all time." Warhippy
I just love that word. Moist....moist...moist moist moist moist moist moist It has such a fun sound. Saw Moist a number of times, chuckled heartily when the singer went and did his own thing. better as a band than a loner. Not bad, really sounds similar to their old stuff, silver push etc
silverpig
Holy crap, you are as old as I am then, haha ! I was their as well... That was 1st year at UBC for me. I was unfortunately sick that day, but still managed a drink or two and then just sat on the hill watching the concert. It was one of the best days of the year, and that was in spite of the illness! Big Sugar was also pretty good at ACF a few years after.

I always think it's my favourite, then I listen to their other ones (all of them!) and then have trouble picking out the best one.
