Report: The Washington Capitals knew offense wouldn't come as easily this season after losing their top offensive player to unrestricted free agency but they didn't anticipate struggling this much to score goals this far into the season. The team currently has 19 goals 12.5 games into the season for an average of 1.52 goals per game. This number ranks them amongst the bottom few teams in the league. The team has been fortunate to have gotten decent goaltending from Lehtonen and some really strong play from the back end to keep them up in the upper half of the standings but GM da.moose believes that if goal scoring production does not pick up then neither will the team's spot in the standings. Chris Kreider is currently leading the team with three goals. Outside of that players such as Andrew Cogliano, Kyle Turris, and Patrik Elias have one goal a piece and Jakob Silfverberg and Evander Kane have both been unable to find mesh once yet this season.

The Caps are searching for forwards that can contribute offense via trade and are willing to part with prospects, picks, and maybe even some roster players if the deal is right.

Boston Bruins

November Roster/Report

Sedin - Sedin - Tarasenko

Schwartz - Stepan - Bonino

Perreault - Sutter - Chiasson

King - McCormick - Hansen

Heatley

Top 6

Our top line continues to produce to expectation, and is showing alot of creativity and excitement. Derek Stepan`s return to our 2nd line means Bonino`s return to RW, where he has played for us for the past couple of seasons (and where he played much of his last year IRL in ANA - Selanne`s line, Perreault`s line, and often extra attacker). This definitely increases our threat and impact with our second line, and broadens our scoring threat.

Bottom 6

Heatley`s poor play has landed him as the scratch, which allows wing space for Chiasson, who`s been `on a tear`. Perreault, Sutter Chiasson, as a line, makes us more versatile, and will also be able to serve more offensive minutes in the coming months, alleviating pressure from the top 6. King, Hansen and McCormick continue as our grinders, and we wouldn`t wish them on our worst enemies... wait, yes we would :)

Boychuk - Shattenkirk

Visnovsky - Bieksa

Stoner - Marincin

Leopold - Schlemko

Top 4

Nothing to add here. Boychuk and Shattenkirk. So sound. Visnovsky and Bieksa, great so far, but hoping Lubo can help squeeze a bit more offence from Juice.

Bottom 4

Marincin has scooped the 3rd pairing spot, as Schlemko and Leopold are sporadically bench warming in their respective real life cities. No surprises... all part of the plan ;)

Ward

Lehner

Goal

After rumours got out this week that Greensman and Ward had met, and that Cam Ward was prepared to waive his clause and consider new options, the tides certainly turned. At 40 points in the last 6 days, Cam is steadily regaining confidence and has reclaimed the top role for the moment. Certainly this week`s 1st star for the Bruins. Is Ward playing well to stay, or because he really wants to go... Greensman is face-palming that debate right now. Lehner is playing a solid support role, with great numbers and performance. He is more than eager to claim that top spot.

*Teams interested in Cam Ward should contact Greensman. Lots of interest, but still looking for that perfect fit.*

47 points last night are not to bad.

the blues are also hangin´around the middle of the rankings for this week

a sign that our team has some potential

but losing raffl and probably gleason and bergenheim could hurt

so we are glad that steve mason is back to his form and we hope that he will keep it now

only hodgson , weber and gorges have definitely to move up

we are pleased with our goal scoring though

raffl 6

atkinson 5

stempniak 3

versteeg 3

jooris 3

hoffman 3

bellemare 3

legwand 2

bergeheim 2

ruutu 2
