The New York Rangers have some announcements as we clean up around the crease.

WAIVERS: The following players have cleared waivers.

All of our players who have cleared waivers are assigned to the farm team, The Connecticut Whale. In particular Dman Brad Hunt will join the 3rd pairing of the Whale until a scheduled roster shuffle later this month.

WAIVERS: The New York Rangers have claimed Eric Tangradi from the St. Louis Blues via waivers.

We are very happy to see Eric Tangradi come to us via waivers, Eric has already fit in nicely with 15 points earned, we believe, since we claimed him. (will wait to see how pickup assigns his pick up date) Eric will do spot duty as the 3rd line C until M.Backlund is back to good health.

WAIVERS: The Colorado Avalanche have claimed Steve Bernier from the New York Rangers via waivers.

We are sorry to see Steve go, as we had hoped he would be a good steward for the youth on the Whale farm team. Wishing him the best of luck in the future, and a long healthy career.

Lastly, with a busy busy month behind us in November, the THREE STARS will be a brief announcement today.

NEW YORK RANGERS

announce the three stars for the month of November:

First Star: JIRI HUDLER!!! Jiri has stepped up his already above average game to set the bar for the Rangers in the month of November. He figured in every goal on the 30th of the month, and scored both goals the night of the 27th, after scoring the very night before in the first of the back to back games.

Jiri is a stellar example of leadership on and off the ice and his November ratings are proof of that without any further comment.

8 Goals and 7 assists with points for six +-'s and only two penalty minutes in the month. Team Leader, Jiri Hudler.

Second Star: Kevin Klein!! continues to excite the crowd in New York with his stellar defensive performance. a Rock on the blue line, Kevin recorded 11 +- points for us while also scoring 2 goals and 3 assists, capping off his month with a five minute major, the well rounded blueliner is astoundingly in 2 way tie for 2nd overall in team scoring.

Third Star: Antoine Vermette! rings in as the third star with 5 goals and 6 assists in Movember along with six penalty minutes and 3 +-'s. Antoine is tied with Kevin Klein for 2nd overall in team scoring and was acquired this offseason to take over the top line pivot spot from outgoing Joe Thornton.

Colorado would like to release George Parros, who officially announced his retirement from the NHL today. Congratulations on your career George!

The team is currently in discussions with Parros regarding a possible front office position, and will be holding 'Mustache night' at their next home game. Mustachioed (real or otherwise) fans will receive a George Parros novelty bobble head (90% mustache, 10% bobble) and a coupon for 25% off single game seats for a future Avs home game. Mustache themed events will entertain our fans throughout the game during stoppages, including a 'March of the Moustaches' where select fans will take the ice during the 2nd intermission to vie for the honor of Best Moustache, as selected by the man himself, George Parros! Disclaimer: all mustache themed events are kid friendly!

TRADE: The New York Islanders have made a trade with the Arizona Coyotes.

To NYI:

small.png Brian Boyle

small.png Antti Raanta

To ARI:

small.png Cam Talbot

small.png Brandon Leipsic

small.png Ludvig Bystrom

small.png NYI 215 2nd Round Draft Selection

Sad to see Brian and Antti go but we couldn't pass this offer up.

We decided to take a step sideways with this team, and make room for Horvat, Laughton, Granlund & Paquette - thus moves like this have to be made.

Report: With that trade completed, the Coyotes are still looking to make more moves, the following players are still available:

Matt Hackett

Cam Talbot

Martin Havlat

Sergei Gonchar

Jay Harrison

Jamie Oleksiak

Joakim Lindstrom

Willing to listen to offers on any other player, but if that player is under 25, gonna need to give me a no-brainer offer.
