Just got back from Mexico and my team is totally beaten up right now.

Pending a few IR placements...

Call-up: The Washington Capitals would like to call up Jyrki Jokipakka and place him on the NHL roster as an emergency forward until we have enough healthy forwards to ice a roster.

Washington Capitals Lines:

Chris Kreider - Kyle Turris - Justin Fontaine

Andrew Cogliano - Sam Gagner - Jakob Silfverberg

Jyrki Jokipakka - Nate Thompson - Anthony Peluso

Tim Erixon - Rob Klinkhammer - Matt Greene

Keith Yandle - Jan Hejda

Kyle Quincey - Ryan Ellis

Simon Despres - John Klingberg

Kari Lehtonen

Curtis McElhinney

Out: Richard Panik(upper-body), Evander Kane(lower-body)

Injured Reserve: Patrik Elias, Toby Enstrom, Zack Kassian, Patrick Bordeleau

WJC UPDATE:

I am at the WJC in Toronto and the best player so far in that group has been Nick Ehlers and once he adds some strength and weight to his frame he could be a dynamic NHL forward. (St. Louis Blues - Bomba)

Also Oliver Bjorkstrand has been very good showing a high level of hockey sense and puck skills at speed with the willingness to battle for loose pucks. (Boston Greensman)

The entire Russian team has been playing under their potential although they were solid against the Swedes and they should have beat them. I will point out that Barbashev, Buchnevich, Goldobin and Kamenev have shown flashes of dominance in puck possession and skill, but it has not consistent.

The Swedes have also been a little inconsistent despite being unbeaten but Jacob Del a Rose, Adrian Kempe and have been going to the dirty areas to make things happen. Both Oskar Lindbolm and William Nylander have displayed playmaking ability but they will have to venture into traffic more often against the tougher competition if they wish to be more productive. It is clear Robert Hagg is trying to do too much and he is placing a large burden on himself and it reflected on his inconsistent coverage in the d-zone.

Enjoy the games tonight everyone as they could be fantastic,

Cheers,

Ty Webb

Looks like Edmonton Oilers are sending Draisaitl back to junior....and quite possibly will end up playing for the Kelowna Rockets. Only a short drive to go watch my #1 prospect........bitter sweet.

they should have assigned him at game 9 and given him the chance to play at the WJC

anyways a godd thing if you can watch him play time by time

i think the oilers just wanted to play him nhl to early

well...leon wanted too ..i hope this was a lesson for him

i still think he will be a good nhl player
