canuck2xtreme
I hate that I'm cheering for Boston to make the playoffs over Ottawa, and LA over over Calgary. It is what it is. I have a feeling Calgary's little slip the last few games will cost them the playoffs. Hopefully not, but definitely pulling for the Flames and Sens. It seems the league has other designs however. I wonder if Kyle Turris, Mikael Backlund or Nick Bonino could kick a puck into the net and have it count like Lucic did last night? That was ridiculous. And Toffoli should have been suspended for his dangerous hit from behind on Burrows, and yet nothing. Both LA and Boston are scrambling to make the playoffs, and they're getting some pretty obvious help. Coincidence?

oldnews
Signing: The Toronto Maple Leafs have re-signed Pavel Datsyuk to a 3 year contract worth 23.25mil (7.75 million per season), with a full NMC. The Leafs would like to thank Agent Greens for his time and diligence. This was a pleasant negotiation that, for us, was a decision that was exceedingly easy to commit to. We'd like to thank Pavel Datsyuk and his family for his continued commitment to our franchise. We consider Pavel one of (if not the) premier two way players in the game - a tremendous talent who is not only a character veteran presence, but in our opinion, a perfect example to our young players of how to approach and play the game. His on and off-ice presence is invaluable to our franchise. We were fortunate to have him join the TML this past season, and are thrilled and consider ourselves even more fortunate to have him remain as our Captain moving forward. We can't thank Pavel enough for his commitment and willingness to remain with us through a difficult season and we will continue to work hard to make changes to improve our team in the immediate future. We feel that with his leadership and our young group, we are well positioned to be more competitive moving forward. oldnews, GMTML

I didn't, just watched TSN's highlights and they don't show much but Crosby on the doorstep and then a goal celebration. Can't seem to find it on youtube either. Caboose
Can't stand Boston but I need LA to make it. Would love to have a goalie in the playoffs I'm in too minds about the Kings. If they miss my likely 1st round opponent has no goalie, but I lose Carter and Gaborik. I'm not sure what I prefer.

Primal Optimist
I very much want the most Canadian content possible in the playoffs, but I like so many teams now, (*thanks in large part to this league by the way, opening my eyes to hockey outside our borders) it wouldn't really matter, as long as the Canucks get some post season time to try to earn their way to more post season time. Primal Optimist
PS: LA looks like they are losing while Calgary has the lead for now!!! excitement will ensue! Tomorrow Morning a standings update will flow out for the GML and a look at the draft lottery as well, it is a good morning of zero stress for me, and this is too much fun!
