So I'm thinking that in the spirit of Maggie the monkey, Paul the octopus and that weird football predicting turtle I heard about, I'm going to let Connors pet guinea pig Chomper select playoff series winners at the start of the post-season and see how close he comes.

WAIVERS: The Toronto Maple Leafs have claimed Dylan Olsen from the Montreal Canadiens via waivers.

The Leafs would like to welcome Dylan Olsen to our franchise. We realize he's had some personal struggles this season, but we are prepared to be patient and work through those with Dylan. He will have to compete with some of our other young defenseman to retain a spot on our roster, but we feel he could develop into a solid depth defenseman for us

WAIVERS: The New York Rangers have claimed Michael Keranen from the Montreal Canadiens via waivers.

Excellent!

The New York Rangers are thrilled to have gained some offense in adding Michael Keranen to the system. Mr Keranen is a prototypical late bloomer, who is playing his first North American season right now. The swedish born Finish Hockey player has been maturing in the Finish Elite League, and last season broke out with over a point per game performance before coming to north america. Interesting to note is that Keranen is 2nd in scoring on his AHL team, in just his first North AMerican year. Roster change to accomodate Michael will be announced in short order. Welcome aboard.

Lastly, the Rangers would like to announce Jiri Hudler as the number one star for the Month of March. I really can not say enough about the guy the real NHL named "one of the three stars of the month of march" for the entire NHL.

SECOND STAR – JIRI HUDLER, C, CALGARY FLAMES

Hudler led all players with 13 assists and 23 points to power the Flames (42-28-7, 91 points) to a 9-3-3 March, helping the team jump from the outside of the playoff picture and into third place in the Pacific Division. He registered at least one point in 12 of his 15 outings, highlighted by nine multi-point performances. That included four consecutive multi-point games to open the month, the first such run of his career, and three-point efforts March 13 vs. TOR (1-2-3) and March 29 at NSH (1-2-3). Hudler also recorded a pair of game-winning goals: March 3 at PHI (his second career overtime goal) and March 6 at DET. His 23 points were the most by any player in one calendar month this season and the most by any Flames player in one calendar month since December 2006 (Jarome Iginla: 10-16-26). The 31-year-old Olomouc, Czech Republic, native shares seventh in the NHL with 29-42-71 in 74 games this season, leading the Flames and establishing career highs in all three categories.

We will assign second and third stars of the month honours to Jiri Hudler and Jiri Hudler as well. With 5 games remaining that total puts Jiri in prime position to be the Rangers MVP. We will have to wait out the games to see how that honour is awarded.

that could prove to be a nice addition. A lot of potential in Michael.

yeah, I knew of him on account of being really into the swedish and finnish leagues, relative to living in BC...lol....still like every one, he is a long shot, would not fit as a bottom sixer at all and would need to jump strait to a second line at a minimum, plus he is undersized...worth a shot off the wire though.
