I was presuming they get moved over the next season, after they're re-signed.

And yes, I'm aware of their cap situation. Perhaps we even consider taking Ladd on for Dobson and say their 1st/another prospect etc +/- if we move enough other salary along with Stecher and Virtanen. Perhaps Roussel or Benn.  Or maybe we bring back Boychuck instead. There's ways to make it work.

That said, I'm not married to Dobson, he was just an example.

It's gonna take a heck of a lot to land Dobson, that package and taking Ladd wouldn't even do it alone.

how would people attend?

Jake was the worst player on the ice according to 100% of the people who didn't actually have the ability to match their experience to their opinion of the experience they wished they'd had

Thomas Drance tweeted in response to someone upset about his observations on Virtanen:  "I'm one of eight public observers at the game. Fans want to know who played well and who played badly. Jake had as tough a scrimmage as you can have - even getting yelled at by his teammates - my job is to find a way to let fans know that fairly."

Drancer on Virtanen: He had a really tough night. Talks about how his teammates don't think much of his defensive game and that's why they're trying these moves on him.

Ahhhhh, that takes me back to Sept training camp where the usual suspects were up in arms and Jake was on his way to the press box or Utica.  His season didn't exactly unfold that way did it?

hard not to wonder if jake's teammates might be getting sick of his immaturity and lack of buy-in.

j.t. miller has these guys -- somehow, suddenly, out of the blue -- ready to start winning, and if jake doesn't start pulling the rope as hard as he can he's going to get left behind and replaced with someone who will.

my gut tells me he's gone before next season, masked as a cap casualty.

It took Miller quite a few years to have that sinked in on him, Jake is still young. He will be fine.
