Tearloch7
Craig Button rated his IQ as 3/5.... But thats just him But then Craig's IQ is only 2/5 so all he knows is Jake is 'smarter' than him .. after that he is just arbitrarily 'guessing' .. Edit: Oops .. Dasein beat me too it .. good one .. Dogbyte
Craig Button rated his IQ as 3/5.... But thats just him Button is also the guy that signed Turek to that completely retarded contract that ruined both their careers. Please be careful on your views here, we are not completely mis informed DOWN here , some of us love this team and love this game with a passion If you could get the government to disable DOWNUNDACANUCK's internet you would go a long way to imporving that viewpoint. DeNiro
How did Jake play today? Games not over. He drew a penalty shot in the first with his speed. Made a beauty move that deked the goalie, but he lost the handle. I have only watched snippets of his game but from the sounds of it he's been all over the ice controlling the play. canuktravella
virtanen hits is a fast skater works hard and can score and led canada u17 at junior tourny last yr not sure how how he doesnt have good hockey iq. nylander will turn out to be a good player for leafs but is 2 yrs away from the show hes needs to gain some muscle whereas jake had a nhl body at 17 but had a hurt shoulder in 3 yrs virtanen could gain a few more inches in height and weigh in at 225-230 and be one of the fastest power forwards in the league watch out the nhl will be owned that kid has some hands to. Ritchie will be a bust he looks slow and fat conditioning coaches need to be hired for the tubby good thing leafs didnt pick him nonis would have to fight him for the donuts and kfc bucket. stexx
just finished watching the game, was my first time seeing virtanen play. I was really surprised at just how quickly he explodes into holes on the ice and how physical he is. Very unusual to see a highly skilled player play with the kind of physicality that he does.

He seems to finish every check which is good. He definitely likes to hit, even when he's the one with the puck

He definitely likes to hit, even when he's the one with the puck yeah its quite disconcerting to watch a canucks prospect be a physical PITA on the ice. His hands look rusty still like on the PS and a few in tight plays he had but the raw tools looks tantalizing. On that play that caused the PS he made up 10-15 feet on that defenseman before the kid even knew what happened, can see virtanen causing havoc in the NHL just on his wheels alone. Speed kills for sure, and between him, McCann, and Shinkaruk, we have some players with speed to burn.
Canucks1219
Availability to be determined - Anthony Duclair (NHL - NY Rangers), Bo Horvat (NHL - Vancouver) Not available - Sam Bennett (Shoulder Injury)
Tambellini's Wrist Shot
Availability to be determined - Anthony Duclair (NHL - NY Rangers), Bo Horvat (NHL - Vancouver) Not available - Sam Bennett (Shoulder Injury) No Lazar? He was a stud last year. One of the few players on that team that actually produced. I'd have him penciled in for sure. Good thing Craig Button doesn't select the team. Brick Tamland
Did they explicitly say he isn't playing in the World Juniors though? They could still lend him out. I expect that the Canucks will do the same with Bo if he sticks.

If Lazar isn't playing a lot of minutes and isn't a producer in this next month or so, Ottawa should absolutely lend him out. Fredrik Gauthier? Pffffffffft
