Just listen to Willie's most recent video before tomorrow's game. It appears from listening and reading between the lines that he intends on sitting out players like McCann on a more regular basis, saying how hard it is for the young guys , and sometimes playing them every day isn't the best for their development. He said they were going to come up with a plan, and I think this is a set up so there will be fewer questions asked when we can comes out of the lineup. Certainly he has cooled off offensively, and with his known face-off issues, it wouldn't be unreasonable to see him rotated out. As much as I love watching him develop, and he has certainly done so in other areas, I agree that this might be a good thing right now. You could see this a mile away when Willie finally had Vey back on the roster.

Delta76
I don't like Willie but this is a good move. McCann needed to bulk up when the season started and playing as much hockey as he has been playing is not the way to do that. Scratching these guys every now and then isn't a bad move. Good for Milan to overcome such a deformity, and become a super star. I wonder why this is not made more commonly known? He could be a real important role model for deformed kids. Odd.
The problem is his reputation over the years hasn't been very good and the talk about his deformity became nothing to talk about as praising him about his comeback from it would be like praising the devil. However, I'm pretty sure he's nowhere near worse from others around the league now in terms of reputation. He's hopefully coming at a stage in his career that the actions he's done before hand aren't acceptable. I can't say he's learned his lesson as the last incident with the Kings, he chased after Couture to the bench. With Lucic being an UFA after this season, and with Kopitar needing to be signed, there won't be enough cap for them to get Lucic. Hopefully we pick him up to compliment our line-up for when we draft Matthews . Nuff Lucic, back to McCann.
