Stormriders
I watched the trip of Jake, Jared and Crack in NY. What I thought was astounding was that Jake and Jared looked about the same size. Now I know they had jackets on, and I know that Jake is 30 lbs. lighter and an 1" shorter, and Jake is WAY stronger, but to look at them in the videos Jared certainly didn't look small. Give him a year or two to gain 15+ pounds and get some man strength, and I think we will be a HUGE force.

I noticed that as well, except that Jake's legs are like tree stumps compared to Jared's more normal size. But yeah, they seemed the same in the shoulders. I can see Jared comfortably adding another 10 lbs to his frame without it having a negative effect on his game. Vey is the same height and is 200lbs, but I don't think Jared has the same body type. Gaudette Celly
Once McCann gets bigger and stronger, he's going to be a real force. He seems to enjoy the physical play, takes it to guys, and won't take crap from anyone, regardless of their size. Combine that with his offensive skill and we've got something pretty good here. MoneypuckOverlord
Are we questioning his size ? Hope not. i stood next to Jared McCann there is really no way he's 6'0 feet anymore. Lets put it this way, he's taller then 6'0 feet. He looked much bigger when I saw him skated next to him.

McCann is a way better player than Vey, and supper competitive. He'll be fine.
Camel Toe Drag
He needs to get that monkey off his back and score a goal, jesus.

McCann's rookie season can be considered a success regardless of whether he scores again IMO considering how he's played overall. When his body catches up to his skill set he'll be even more dangerous. He's sort of a hybrid between Henrik and Daniel.

That's really a good point. McCann really plays the team game, doing exactly what the coaches want. He's always on the d side of the puck, sacrificing offence. Plus, the other teams seem to hate the guy, which is a bonus for us. Kesler did these things too, but he had a way of making his own fans (us) hate him too. I also think that McCaan has better offensive skills than Kes, but lacks the physical aspects of Ryan's game. At this point, I would rather have Jared on the team; Kes is much older and has played some hard games.

He just doesn't have the man body (yet) to be as dominant in that regard. But if I recall Kesler was a bit of a string bean when he was young too. Agree 100%, it's that little chip on his shoulder he has. Very few rookies have strong enough bodies to compete in the NHL as 19 year olds, . . not everyone is a Bo or Jake. It takes a few years to get 'man strength', but I am sure he will get there in the next year or so and when he does, with all his skill and speed, he will be one of our best. manroth19
Canner has way more skill then kes did at the age, i hate that comparison personally. Giroux isn't a bad comparison either. But a higher skilled, less selfish Kesler isn't bad either IMO.

Kesler was more of a north south logo sniper than anything.

They both play the game with a chip on their shoulder, similar builds, solid 2 way game (again, McCann getting the nod for having more natural offensive skills at the same age), good skaters and traditionally good on draws (McCann will improve at this level when he gains strength). So yeah, Kesler with more natural offense (and less logo sniping...lol).
Noble 6
I'd say McCann is more like Pavelski, although he'll probably be putting up numbers slightly behind Pavelski. David Krejci wouldn't be a terrible one either I think.
