I liked him, but him leaving the way he did , showed his immaturity. if and when he does return, I would hope he has grown up enough to know everything you do in life has to be earned and not just handed to you. Actually he just looked at the tire fire of a defense that was constantly given heavy minutes ahead of him and wondered, why are all of these scrubs playing ahead of me? Have a look at the defense from 2016/17 and try to justify playing half of these guys ahead of a prospect with his potential. https://www.eliteprospects.com/team/77/vancouver-canucks/2016-2017 Stecher started coming into his own, but with the exception of Edler and Tanev, why would any one of those D-men deserve ice time ahead of Tryamkin? 1 1 2

cyoung
I'll be honest tryamkin's first season wasn't great, and that's not Willie's fault. That doesn't mean I don't want him to return, he could still be a great 3rd pairing D man, I have a hard time seeing him taking on anything more than that as I don't think his skill set is as strong as 90% of the people on the board think. Coming to a new country was probably extremely tough for him, leaving family and friends to a place where he can't really even talk to anyone would suck. Especially at his age at the time. People calling him immature.....he was 22 years old when he left, of course he was immature. Lol it would be cool if he came back over but im not gonna hold my breath or worry too much about a guy who will likely just play bottom pairing minutes.

I also think there is some wishful thinking about Tryamkin. The package is tantalizing but largely unproven. His finish in his rookie season showed a lot of promise but 3 years in the KHL was a step backwards. IMHO the .org depth likely passes him bye. Playing on a stronger team could really help him. Playing at 3RD with stints at 2RD would be the ideal scenario. 1

I worry that people have exagerated his level and he will be a 4-6th dman. That level of ice time didn't sit well last time. How will it sit now that he is not as young and has more professional experience?

He won't make the team. I'd imagin he should b prepared the next time he decides to come over...if he does end up doing so.

No one is going to hand him minutes he cannot handle. At least he would be easier for us to trade with him being here rather than overseas with the possibility of not coming back in this case and I'm sure some team would be enticed with the physical attributes to overlook his inability to play a higher role and pay a decent price. Long before tram finally had enough of Willie and spoke up, many of us on here were screaming about how the moron Willie was mismanaging Tram thankfully Wille has been banished forever from the NHL We are free from Willie Tram AND we love Russians so come back Edited July 26, 2019 by canuck2288
Popular Post Stierlitz
Avto is having training camp in Czech Republic from July 18 to August 2. Here are some pictures from the camp in Yekaterinburg on July 17 - Tryamkin is easily recognizable for his white baseball hat. 2 2 1

If we signed Nikita to a 4 year - 3.5 Million contract Would you trade him to Anaheim or LA or maybe Edmonton or San Jose? For a second in 2020 Personally, I wouldn't risk it Would you? Only question I have is, how will big Nik transition to a new(ish) team in a new league late in the season? especially if we are in the playoff hunt, which I suspect, replacing Tanev with Tram might be dangerous. Other option is to trade Tanev after the playoffs 1

Other option is to trade Tanev after the playoffs If the Canucks do not trade Tanev early in the year in an attempt to get a younger top 4 d man they won't be trading him at the trade deadline if the Canucks are close to a playoff push. It just won't happen. They would then wait till after the season which would probably be too late to get any value at all for him. But it would make sense to bring in Tryamkin as a spare D when the KHL season ends as in all likelihood we will have at least one injury to a top 6 D that Tryamkin can fill in for.

At least that's how the negative viewers will see it. 1 1
