Nice of the Tampa netminder to show up for the event. Tampa could use him on the point with that rocket.

That will give a mountain a Mowhawk. I think Chara holds the record for hardest shot at 108.8. Nikita could get there with some practice.

I would also like to think that perhaps the Equipment Sponsors to the NHL might pay Nik a little more attention in the NHL vs the KHL? He is a rather large Human being. A custom stick may await him that he has never been granted ,. and perhaps a damn lid too!

While this may be true, 101.9 is just fine with me as long as he's got some accuracy to his shot. Boy do I miss the Salo days. 1

Yes, confidence and consistency to shoot will create many opportunities other than the shot itself. Wish Edler would be less picky looking for perfection and concentrate on general direction. I think he’s averaging about 3-4 shots a game now.. hopefully we get to see the positive changes for ourselves soon (Tryamkin). He was probably drinking and telling that story at the bar... https://www.tsn.ca/breaking-speed-limits-1.930596 It was Popular Mechanics that published the data. Now what the methodology was in 1968 is at issue. (Fast radar gun? Maybe miscalculation of the speed the speed over the distance was incorrect?) http://hockey-blog-in-canada.blogspot.com/2009/12/hardest-shot-ever.html I've also seen the reference to Hull's shot from the National Research Council radar gun? But I'm finding it hard to verify that. In fact the links on several sites refer to no longer archived articles. 1

Actually, he has been using his wrist shot more this year, keeping the shot low, and looking for deflections - it has meant more of his shots getting through.
