Opposing teams score on the face off created by a Tryamkin icing call, game over quicker. Yep you could have point. Funny, but not apt. Tryamkin is not best known for icing, he is more well known for crushing guys against the boards or decking them crossing the blue line, and in Russia, when he was on the PP in his first year back there, scoring them. That year he was 51 gp 9 g 16 a 25 pts +12, with 109 pm - pretty much a forty point 200 pm pace in an 80 game season. However, the next year management changed and changed the deployment of the defense - after a year as a stud they required him to be a mouse - 31pm and his 100mph shot was no longer on the PP. Ghostsof1915 34,530
If Tram comes back. If he does well, even if he's average. It's not like they spent a 1st rounder on him. I'm more concerned the expectations here are way too optimistic. I wish him the best of luck whatever he decides. I will cheer for him if he puts on a Canucks jersey. I'm just not sure if he's coming back or not. He certainly can't hurt our defence. 1

I do not have expectations that he will be top 4 but his size and strength is a commodity that very few others have and is not to be dismissed. 1

SilentSam 6,976
Such quick feet ,. And strong edges with this big man,. Something for our trainers to utilize and give confidence in Nik to use his power over others with.
Popular Post fanfor42 2,218
I think Nik will come back on a 2 year deal at about 1.8m. If he doesn't come back he has to wait another year before he is a UFA. So it is in his best interests to come next year if he wants to restart his NHL career. I have a small percentage dream that he somehow matches up as the perfect stay at home tough D partner for Hughes. Big wing span. Pretty mobile. No expectations for offense just cover to let Quinn fly. Anyway, small chance that pans out but I am attracted to the thought as it would be a game changer for the team. 2 4

VegasCanuck 3,941
Is he so high up in blocked shots, because he's good at it, or because he's so big, they can't help but hit him???
clutesi 199
We won't lose an upcoming draft pick. Our D is mess. He's built like a tree and he can skate. We've got absolutely nothing to lose if we give him a chance. Which means we probably won't give him a chance..... :(
