Nikita Tryamkin | D

Drouin

Recommended Posts

I still find it so puzzling how things went with Tryamkin.
If he intended to just keep playing in the KHL, why did he suggest that he was open to returning to the Canucks, and keep pics of himself as a Canuck on his social media account? It was only hurting his playing time in the KHL, since they thought he might leave.

Why did his agent only give the Canucks about a day or two to negotiate before Tryamkin turned around to sign a two year deal in Russia?

Such a weird thing. And disheartening. Seeing the HUGE defense on the Lightning is a big reminder how our back end is not nearly big enough for us to thrive in the post season. When the post season hitting starts, we’ll be injury riddled before a round even finishes.

Interesting that even today his instagram profile pic is still him in a Canucks uni:

It's the peak of his career in the sense that it's all he's done at the best league in the world.

He's technically Canucks property, but I had already largely written him off and have now completely written him off. Hoping for him to return is crazy.

Could definitely be a very regrettable move to not have had a bit more patience with us on his part.

Its possible that he could sign anywhere, with any team in the world..

Tryamkin seems to get homesick at the mention of a new contract.

I believe he's an UFA 30th June 2022. For my part I think this became a personell problem with Management, I'm uncertain if the agent was part of the problem, he seemed amiable to sign in Vcr. He's no worse then most 6-7 D and certainly had the advantage of his size and if we're honest he uesed it to good effect on a number of occassions  while he was still here. It's going to  be  a laugh if soome other teams signs him. Evey one gets up set about his attitude .... get over it ... think team fiirst

Truth be truth,.  It could be a worse situation..

imagine having a first round pick and giving him lots of opportunity to perform, only to buy him out and cancel his contract over off ice allegations of misconduct.

Interesting  - but understandable given the common Canucks link  - that Vasili follows Nikita on twitter  (that's where I saw his profile pic).  I guess they have met when St Petersburg played Ekaterinburg

I know it’s unlikely at this point, but I’m wondering if Tryamkin could be our Travis Hamonic replacement in a few years.  Very unlikely but oh well.  I really liked Tryamkin and felt like we had something there with him.

Nik isn't going to age like wine, he really needed to be here, getting NHL level experience. He just not hungry for it.

I have my doubts about him ever returning to the NHL and that is probably why there is no out clause.

I don't think he'll ever come back. His heart isn't in it.

Ohhhhh the opportunity Nik has missed here considering Hamonic might be on the move.

Hoping he gives us another try, he signed a 2 year contract with Atvo.

So the end of next season? One can hope. A to is doing great too.

Nik is playing really well, looks  like a Larry Robinson type, big strong shutdown D,  but an eye for offensive opportunity where the reward is high and the risk is low.

I think he can ask to terminate after every season,.  It’s in the KHL agreement.

I believe last year the KHL was hoping to discuss “loan agreements “ with the NHL, regarding drafted players or players they have rights to.

similar to what the NHL has with the Euro leagues.
