However, any pain Stewart is feeling after being cut can't come close to how several other Utica Ds would feel if they were cut in favour of keeping Stewart on the Comets roster. He's just not a good prospect. And Utica wouldn't be a good team if Stewart could crack their roster right now. Not saying he's a complete bust. If Stewart can still develop a bit and eventually elevate his game to something approaching "replacement level" he might yet manage to eke out a decent enough living in pro hockey due to his size and toughness (although the need for carrying these player types on rosters is definitely trending down). Everyone is rooting for you to make it to the big club. Forget the fighting, focus on the fundamentals of hockey and master the little things. If you work hard enough you can earn a spot in the NHL.
