Mr.53
To VAN: Jack Glover To WPG: Jacob Markstrom, 7th round pick Why WPG does this We all know the Jacob Markstrom ordeal. We just don't have space for him and WPG seems like the perfect spot for everyone. Jacob Markstrom becomes their version of Eddie Lack. Why Vancouver does this Jack Glover would still be the perfect addition to our prospect group. In our prospect pool our weak spot is defensmen. Jack Glover would be a solid addition, plus, we are in need of right handed defensmen. Thoughts? (The main idea is using Markstrom to get Glover. Other small additions aren't minded but no need to overpay. I think Markstrom is about fair value as it is.)
Pears
Wouldn't Winnipeg have just done this at the draft?
CanucksFanMike
if we wanted Glover we would have drafted him.... instead we passed and took Tryamkin Also Markstrom isn't worth a 3rd round pick which is what Glover was
Mr.53
Wouldn't Winnipeg have just done this at the draft? Markstrom wasn't necessarily for sale until we picked up Miller. Now he is.

A right handed as well as a left handed. It's not like We don't like him as a prospect at all because we took Tryamkin. To your second point, that's a fair opinion. You think there's something we can add to make it fair? Edit: Like maybe, Markstrom, hansen?
smithers joe
if markstrom is traded it will probably be for a 2nd or 3rd pick....maybe even a 5th round pick....his potential is good but his stats aren't

I don't see why WPG wouldn't jump on this. Glover is not a top prospect like Morrissey, and Markstrom would be a great pick up for him. This honestly seems like super fair deal for me. Itls pretty much Markstrom and a 7th for a third round I think of Glover as the same value for Tryamkin. Not that high. If we were looking for a potential starter goalie, that's not that steep of a price.

Then they have Hutchinson who they seem to be pretty high on. They signed him to a 2 year deal so he will also be on the roster. So Winnipeg declines, they have no need for Markstrom.
