-SN-
May as well get this started a bit early. This is a weird split squad night with one game at 6 in Vancouver and one at 7:30 in San Jose. viking mama
Split squad game...same day? Weird is right. Who is coaching & asst.coaching where? How will the Canucks' goalies be deployed? This is going to be a little difficult to follow. Bring it on tho"!
-Vintage Canuck-
Yay, hockey! Nice work on the GDT - simple yet effective given there isn't much info you could post since it's just the first game of preseason. Looking forward to seeing the rookies play against actual NHL players of the opposing teams.

-SN-
Also, I tried looking for a decent San Jose roster on their message boards but they seem to be talking mostly about cars and football. Weird place.

Desjardins in one of the interviews said that he's planning to go with Canucks to Stockton, CA for his NHL coaching debut on Tuesday. Not the home game that night. Brad Marchand
We can finally go back to talking about actual hockey topics, like people complaining about the GDT being started before game day (no, I'm not one of those people). To be clear, we've changed the definition of GDT to Game Discussion Thread, right?

Harvey Specter
Aww yeah! Canucks hockey (in pre-season form) is back! Very excited to see another season start especially with a clean slate this year. I've never been a big fan of split-squad games but oh well, can't complain too much. Here's to hoping that Willie Desjardins kicks off his NHL coaching career on the right foot!
Lintanen
Didn't we do split squad games vs the Flames a few years back?
