There is a good chance Horvat will play the next game. If he does I wonder who sits out.

The 4th liners are the obvious possibilities: Dorsett, Matthias, and Hansen.

I doubt if there are any other candidates. No one in the top 6 will sit out (barring injury) and Vey, Kassian and Richardson have all shown more than enough to stay in, although Kassian is still kind of inconstent.

It seems strange, but I would sit Hansen. He has been pretty disappointing so far. Matthias could move to 4LW, Dorsett could go his natural position at 4RW and Horvat could play 4C.

Hard to believe Hansen could fall that far down the depth chart given that Torts had him playing top 6 and even sometimes on the first line last year. But that is my current read.

Any other thoughts?

Does not seem like Desjardins is a big fan of Matthias.

No PK time as a 4th line center, and he didn't look good on the wing in pre-season, so maybe he slots out.

Now that all the goons are in the minors i think playing Horvat on the 4th line is great. He'll play around 12 minutes a game (not bad). which some of will be on the PK

We'll have to see. Right now, it looks like Henrik, Bonino and Richardson are getting the PK minutes. Tonight, Bonino played 2:33, Richardson 1:21 and Henrik a quiet and unnoticed 1:31.

I could see us giving Henrik's PK ice time to Bo. Maybe some of Bonino's.

I don't know about 12 minutes - our 4th line got under 10 minutes tonight.

Hansen, Hansen, Hansen.

Matthias goes to the wing,

sedin sedin vrbata

Burrows Bonino Kassian

Higgins Horvat Vey

Matthias Richardson Dorsett

could switch Richardson and Horvat, but thats my stab at it

Probably Hansen.

I agree, he just hasn't looked that great at all so far.

I mean, I can see him slotting back in eventually, but for the time being I think he's the first man out.

Plus Mathias on the wing seems to suit his style best.

Is Vey Capable of playing on the left wing? Even though Kassian had a good game against the Oilers. Higgins was really working hard plus has winning shootout goal. I think he wants to prove he is fit for 2nd line this year.

sedin sedin vrbata

Burrows Bonino Higgins

Vey Richardson Kassian

Matthias Horvat Dorsett

Not that Burrows has been bad at all. Awesome start for him this year. Doesn't deserve to be demoted on the line at this point but I wouldn't mind seeing a Higgins Bonino Kassian line trying out their chemistry together

Richardson looks great on the 3rd line. He makes Kassian look good. Higgins Burr and Bones have great chemistry. They're fiesty, hard on the puck, and can snipe. Keeping them together is the best route to go in my opinion. Horvat on the 4th won't be a problem, so far Willie D has kept all players involved regularly.
