Matthias is a fringe nhler. His only asset is size which he doesn't use to his advantage.

Hansen has proven himself to be a very good bottom six winger.

He'll snap out of this funk that he's in right now.

Matthias has not shown a thing since he's arrived.

I think the bottom line is there isn't really room for Horvat on this team as it is. At this point he is not better than Mathias or Richardson. He may very well end up back in London

I agree that a Matthias/Richardson/Kassian line makes sense give how well they played together last year. The have enough size and toughness to be a 4th line can provide enough secondary scoring and defense to be a good 3rd line.

As for the faceoff circle, Bonino is not bad either.

If Vey and Horvat play together each can take strong side face-offs. So the line up looks like this:

Sedin/Sedin/Vrbata

Higgins/Bonino/Burrows

Horvat/Vey/Dorsett

Matthias/Richardson/Kassian

Not sure which of the last two lines is the "3rd" line and which is the "4th" line. But that would give the Canucks and excellent bottom six to go with a very good top line and a decent 2nd line.

I would agree with this, Horvat gets pk time to increase his minutes, vey gets pp time to increase his. Richardson, Mathias and kassian were great together last year. I really like that line.

Horvat is better than Mathias right now even if his shoulder is still injured.

At the end of the year horvat will be far better than Mathias.

Hansen. Playing himself off the roster as far as I'm concerned.

please trade hansen and his 2.5 mill cap hit

please JB

Id be ecstatic for a 3rd and a 4th

lets be real here there are a multitude of players available on waivers, in the ahl , and our own farm team that can do what Hanson does for this team at 1/3 the cap hit.....time to send him to wherever

In that case, what team would take him? :sadno:

When a team is winning, you don't tinker with the lineup unless you must do so...we are winning and everyone is still trying to find there groove in the first few games, Hansen and Matthias haven't been great but not terrible either and have been very good on the PK in Calgary and Edmonton...

People need to control there hormones

I beg to differ. Is he worse than Hansen? His size is a big asset.

Hansen's time here is running out. Matthias still has youth, Hansen has topped out, hes not going to get any better. So far this pre-season and season Hansen has shown far less the Matthias .

Wake up!

Wow! 2 games in and already time to tinker? We have depth people no need to move anyone at this point, especially for a rookie who has not proved himself yet. Injuries and long periods of bad play will dictate who sits out. Why is that so hard to understand?
