Wow! 2 games in and already time to tinker? We have depth people no need to move anyone at this point, especially for a rookie who has not proved himself yet. Injuries and long periods of bad play will dictate who sits out. Why is that so hard to understand?

It's Canuck.com. What do you expect? 2 games which the Canucks were cleary the better team, won both games, yet asking to trade Jannik Hansen? Did people actually forget he's gone to war with the Canucks for many years, and all of a sudden, they want him traded after 2 games? Canucks fans worst in the league.

Rookies can't prove themselves unless they get a shot eventually though.

True, but the operative word is "eventually". If Horvat was eligible for the AHL, I'd bet money that he'd already be in Utica. I'm sure a couple of rookies will be called up during the season, but two games in WD's just trying to figure out where this team is at.

Look at the Kings or Blackhawks, any of their players you can call a rookie has spent a couple of years in the AHL.

When a team is winning, you don't tinker with the lineup unless you must do so...we are winning and everyone is still trying to find there groove in the first few games, Hansen and Matthias haven't been great but not terrible either and have been very good on the PK in Calgary and Edmonton...

People need to control there hormones

We are barely beating (and only due to poor reffing) the worst teams in the NHL. Other than the 1st line it's a pretty big mess, especially the bottom 6.

There needs to be some tinkering done, and probably much more than that. I don't think Horvat is the answer, but he certainly can't be more useless than Hansen and Matthias have been so far.

I'd like to see both Hansen and Matthias moved in a package for another center that can play 3C or 2C if Bonino can't get it done. It would be nice if that center could win a faceoff too.

I'd be a little surprised if they moved Matthias back to the wing. Maybe they'll give him another (possibly final) shot there, but he didn't look very good at all on the wing in preseason, and even WD admitted he looked more at home in the middle. To me his performances so far have been at best on par with Hansen, or possibly worse.

If we're just talking about who'll be a healthy scratch for the next game, I'd say Matthias for sure - slot in Horvat at 4C in between Dorsett/Hansen and he'll get his ~10 minutes plus some time on the PK. If we're talking long-term, I'm not so sure. So much can change with form and injuries... but I would be leaning towards Matthias still (to be left out), even with his smaller contract.

Hard to really care much either way though, I'm sure JB will make the right call.

If you are referring to the Burrows "hand pass" that was not. Look in the rule book, if the puck glances of a players glove with no obvious intent to redirect it to a team mate there is no penalty.

Also Bonino has played fine for the most part both on D. and O.

HERE WE FUCKING GO AGAIN. Hansen hansen hansen. guys, The guy has done a lot 2 games into the season.

His line were able to forcheck cause of him , he has speed, tenacity, grit and pretty good shooter. the guy does the little things. perfect 3rd liner for us. he may not score a lot, but he can create chances, and hes real good on PK.

ohhh. boy...

Did you watch the games? He has done a lot in 2 games...by creating chances...For the other team! He was directly responsible for 2 goals by the other team!

He is better then he has shown but the whole point of carrying 14 forwards is so that you can rotate guys in and out of the line up.

You do that either by merrit, if a guy has a couple of bad games then sit him, or by design, if you need tough in goes Sestito, etc...

Kassian could use a bit of a message. Playing decently in one end but awful in his end. Need him to be good, may be a way to send a message.

Would like to see Kassian, and Matthias with Horvat though.

IF... Matthais keeps it simple, uses his speed and size to crash the net and corner work AND if Kassian can get out from under himself...I think he's in his own head due to AV,Tort's...just needs to play hard and find his mojo.

THEN... that line could turn some heads and flatten some bodies!
