After 2 games some questions

he scored in the first game and was a force on the puck last night. How has he started slow?

How dare you question an opinion he clearly pulled from his buttocks, even if he did write it as a declarative statement despite the fact that it was a poorly constructed idea!

After 2 games for me there are questions. Although managing 2 wins and better Sedin play with Vrbata, I wonder if they are not starting another goal tending controversy. The idea again that Miller is the main goalie and Lack as backup when lack is clearly as good as Miller, is just like the Luongo, Schnieder debacle.

Are they going to over coach this group again; might have been evidenced by the 1st period last night ?

Is Kassian stifled by linemates, or a coach, or coaches? It is really too early to tell, but Kessler is playing well for the Ducks.

Hmmmmm . No

This thread is bad, and you should feel bad.

I haven't been this excited for a retooled top 6 and the exciting hockey we are playing in a few years, so I refuse to play into any negativity, even when we eventually lose a couple.

Things are looking great.

Its interesting to note that Luongo just let in 5 goals in 14 shots against NJ and got yanked. Aren't we glad we don't have to put up with that crap anymore? lol.

It's also interesting to note that Lundquist just let in 5 goals in ONE PERIOD against Toronto and got yanked. And yeah, he sucks too, right? The point is ALL goalies are going to have games like that... especially this early in the season, so don't just conveniently bring up Lu's when he does. I'll expect you to mention WHEN Miller and Lack do too. It's only fair.

And btw, I thought we wouldn't have to put up with crap like yours anymore with Lu gone.

Why, on Earth, would you search for negatives? Honestly, it's like going to a birthday party full of happy people with a beautiful cake on the table and complaining that the table legs were wobbly. So many good things happening, I refuse to drum up something bad.

I'm quite happy to leave the word controversy in the past. No, it won't be a problem...Eddie got thrust into the situation last year and perhaps wasn't quite ready for it. Did super to get crammed in like that and held his own, but it's a huge pressure deal. This allows to take the heat off so he can continue to develop into a quality goaltender. This isn't a game of hurt feelings and "they picked him over me" highschool deal. These guys are pros and understand that there are more than one guy to fill some positions...especially goaltender. It's actually a positive if you keep the drama out of it.

They weren't "overcoached" last night (in the first)....Edmonton came out charging because, well, they have to at this point. So they played very well and the Canucks were a little slower out of the gate, that's all. They were a little disjointed, but pulled it together. Again - why look to bash the coaching so earlier on? It's been great, we're winning. We came back from deficits all night to take the 2 points. The coach obviously helped them keep their cool and level headed in order TO overcome a deficit and take the game. It's all about perspective.

Kass is reckless, but I loved his play last night. Was one handed driving the net and, although a little rough and sloppy around the edges at times, he is contributing. I believe this coach likely understands the feedback from the team in how they were overcoached last year. That they were yelled at rather than communicated with. Allow them to feel good about playing first, then fine tune. It's a process (lol). Have to have them tune back in first. And they seem to be back to loving playing...that's huge and nothing can coach that into players, it comes from within. This coach seems to get that, and how to connect with them.

I felt great about seeing an entertaining game last night...and we won. So no, not buying in.

And pssst, it's Kesler.

Anaheim: 3-4

Vancouver: 5-2

Kind of pointless at this point, but what's your point about Kesler?

This.

And, Who is this 'Kessler' ?

It's only 2 games. Miller's still getting used to the tendencies of the D, new system, new coach, and new goalie coach. Lack is a great young goalie, but Miller provides the skaters with the confidence and calmness of an experienced goalie and he's a good goalie. The team is playing with energy and it's entertaining. In the home opener, I didn't get the "here we go again" feeling when the Canucks fell behind by 2 goals 3 times. Let's give it some reasonable time before the negative talks. It's a new make up of the team, new season, new management.

hahah miller got destroyed in the playoffs and hasnt given us any better tending than lack would give us right now.... also lack played behind an awful team last year and did a better job between the pipes than luongo with same said crap team... and lack isnt young...so i think i just crushed every point you failed to make.

It seems to me that you're not one of those guys in favor of this signing in the first place. 2 games in. 1 bad goal let in and there's a goaltending controversy? Are you serious?? Lack is not as good as Miller .... yet. Maybe he will become as good or better, or maybe he won't. We won't know until the future, but to say that Lack is better at this point in time is ridiculous. There are no facts to base this upon. As to Miller getting destroyed in the playoffs last year, well it does take some time to adjust to a new team, a new city, and a new organization, especially when you've only been in one organization your entire NHL career. And he went against a powerhouse in Chicago. I think a lot of goalies would have looked bad against that team. But to state this observation 2 games into the season, you're out to lunch, and you have a hidden agenda (to bash Miller any chance you can get).

Do you have any idea what you are talking about. As I understand it, Benning, Linden and Desjardins seem to have a pretty damn good idea what hockey is all about. Go ahead and pat yourself on the back for thinking that you know all about the game and in particular goaltending. I

It is your opinion only and because I am a bettin' man, I am putting my money on the expertise and knowledge of Benning, Linden and Desjardins about who should be our starting goaltender. I am rather suspect about what you know about the subject.
