NHL15 PS3 - Sim League - CDCSIM - TRADE THREAD

The TB/NYI trade is pretty even the way you look at it now. Obviously the defenseman will be NHL ready sooner than the goalie will, but we don't know how high in overall these 2 players will get.

The D could make the NHL earlier but the goalie might end up being a better player in the end. They're both 20 though so it'll take a couple of seasons at least before they can be considered in making an impact.

The defenseman could already be considered as a depth guy at 75 overall.

It's hard to tell when swapping prospects of the same star potential.

It's not too bad. Maybe a bit of an overpayment on NYI's part, but I can't really complain.

It really depends on what Dal Colle caps out at. He's already 85 at age 21 and still has 3-4 more seasons of growth. Being a 4.5 yellow though he won't make it past 89 if he even gets there.

Poirier 4y 81 at 23 years, he's got a couple more growth years and will probably be an 83-5 by 25.

Wotherspoon is a 4r so that probably means he'll stay at 83 and could possibly get to around 85.

Shalimov is a red as well and only 21. He'll probably get up to around 83.

NYI is getting some good pieces back as well.

As for the tampa trade, I've seen a lot of 4 star d-men cap off as nothing more than a top 6 in this game so it's too insignificant of a trade for me to care

That's what I'm saying. I think NYI wins the trade even though Dal Colle is already NHL ready and still growing. Time will only tell how he impacts his new team and how the other players do for theirs.

Moving towards the deadline all of my roster guys are available except Seguin and Benn, those being my two building blocks. All offers will be looked at, and I am looking for picks and prospects. You might be surprised what a 1st rounder can get you!

Asking prices for deadline:

(Note* First round picks can pretty much always be replaced by a good prospect)

Eakin: 2nd round pick.

Daley: 2nd/early 3rd round pick

Spezza: mid-Late 1st round pick + decent prospect

Lehtonen: 1st round pick + good prospect

Nikushkin: 1st round pick + one excellent prospect + one good prospect or a good young roster player, winger preferred

Goligoski: 1st round pick or v good prospect

Palmieri: 2nd round pick + decent prospect

Nemeth: late 1st round or 2nd round pick

Kindl: 3rd round pick

Oleksiak: 1st round pick and very good prospect

Garbutt: late round pick or meh prospect

Roussel: late round pick or meh prospect

Glencross: late round pick or meh prospect

Tatar: 1st round pick + late round pick

Lindback: late round pick

Untouchable: Seguin, Benn, Patterson, any of my prospects unless it's a swap for another prospect

Alright, price drop: Spezza can be had for just a 1st round pick OR a 2nd round pick + prospect. I will be trying to re sign him after the season, just FYI

Daley can be had for a 4th round pick...cheap cheap cheap!

Goligoski a 2nd or a prospect
