Rollieo Del Fuego
I believe when Stanton comes off the IR the team still has a 23 man roster even when Corrado is sent back. Somebody has to go. oh boy... Count these forwards from my post above then add 2 goalies and 7 D that will add up to 23 with Horvat. Sedins / Vrbata Higgins / Bonino / Kassian ( get it together Kas...) Richardson / Vey / Burrows Matthias / Horvat / Dorsett Hansen / Sestito

nuck nit
oh boy... I was under the belief that Benning wanted to eventually ice a 13 and 8 roster. Recent rumours have the Canucks looking to add another d man.
aGENT
I was under the belief that Benning wanted to eventually ice a 13 and 8 roster. Recent rumours have the Canucks looking to add another d man. Patience Nit. First we have to actually see if Horvat's ready after his ~9 games and can move a Matthias, Hansen etc. (Or possibly an injury). Then we have to actually move said guy (and their accompanying cap space). Then we have to trade for said mystery d-man. This isn't likely to start happening until the 10-15 game mark or early-mid November (at the earliest) and other teams have some idea of what they do/don't have on their rosters as well (injuries, prospects stepping up/falling down etc). Relax.
TimberWolf
I'm guessing you didn't follow the Canucks in 2010-11?Well you have two choices:1: The Canucks used the legitimate injuries to their advantage and it was done legally as per the rules of the time.2: The Canucks got two professional athletes to fake injuries and were not caught by the NHL.Pick one. avelanch
What has been announced? No broken bones. "Bo has no broken bones but we would like to keep him around while we further evaluate all our players when making a final decision on Bo's immediate future. This buys the corporation some much needed time." Canucks Mgmt.. Get in line with every other player on the ice that took a hockey hit. Nobody had a broken bone but only one player has management in a conundrum. What's naiive is not expecting management to do whatever is available to them to make their jobs easier and their decisions more sound. So,yes, they would-and did- pull Bo from that game when he was not injured. It was legitimate to be cautious but the issues of Bo's development and the full 23-man roster coincide with the opportunity that was granted to them. Personally,I have little faith in most things decided upon at the bureaucratic level within the NHL but this was well done given that Bo's injury severity appears to be a creation of convenience. he was injured and wearing a no contact jersey at practice/skating by himself. they wouldn't do that if he wasn't really injured. and no, they wouldn't have pulled him just for this elaborate hoax you think is actually happening. that's 100% ridiculous tin-foil hat type conspiracy type stuff. the fact that they thought he might have broken a bone but after x-rays none were found means he was still injured (that area would have been really bruised looking pretty bad for them to think it might be broken) it just wasn't as bad as they thought it might be. HerrDrFunk
Is it safe to assume that Horvat will suit up tomorrow night, against Adirondack? That's what I'm going with. Between him suiting up and the rest of our prospects, I'm actually trying to find a way to watch Utica's games. Totally off topic but Markstrom is once again looking like the best goalie not in the NHL this season.

avelanch
no, actually, it's not. not to the conspiracy level degrees you are trying paint anyway. there are rules in place regarding all of this, and assignments have been denied when not valid. jejejester
I herd the same people who told Bo to fake an injury had a part in getting Stamkos to fake breaking his leg so we wouldn't beat everyone too bad in the Olympics
