Where does the Canucks top line rank in the league?

Just look at point production the last two years.

You can't compare the Leaf's top line point production over two years against a Canucks line that was just formed this year. And even if you did, I would bet that if you stretched out the Sedin Sedin Vrabata line points in the 5 games they've played so far over an 82 game season they would look pretty damn good.

Yeah lines like

Pearson - Carter - Toffoli

Dupuis - Sutter - Malkin

Marchand - Bergeron - Smith

McGinn - Duchene - Iginla

Nieto - Thornton - Pavelski

Are also all better than Sedin - Sedin - Vrbata

Guys saying top 5 are nuts.

Looking at points or Corsi, Radim + the Sedins is top 5 without a doubt. It's as simple and doing some addition. Research>>>>opinion.

1. Benn - Seguin - Spezza

2. Kunitz - Crosby - Dupuis

3. Burakovsky - Backstrom - Ovechkin

4. Drouin - Stamkos - Callahan

5. Nelson - Tavares - Okposo

6. Sedin - Sedin - Vrbata

Anaheim

Dallas

Pitt

Any line Stamkos is on

Wash

SJ

NYI

Missing two heavyweight lines. Including possibly the best with Getzlaf and Perry!

Chicago might have two lines better than our top line? Where do they rank...?

NYR with their top centre Stepan is def better. Juggling St Louis and others as a pivot, the top line still always has Kreider and Nash as constants. The speed and size tjose two bring is unreal. They're still better?

I'd take Boston's top line if they had to go head to head in the SCF.

Pretty good arguments forming that St Lou is a tougher match up top line, even if they may not match the Twins/Vrbata in scoring. Younger, faster, bigger and more explosive.

People in Laffer land will point out they score more. I dont buy their argument. Possession?

Pretty good case that Philly is more feared with Giroux being a sometimes MVP candidate flanked by Voracek.

In the end, no better than 12th or 13th.

1. Benn - Seguin - Spezza

2. Kunitz - Crosby - Dupuis

3. Burakovsky - Backstrom - Ovechkin

4. Drouin - Stamkos - Callahan

5. Nelson - Tavares - Okposo

6. Sedin - Sedin - Vrbata

I agree. Potential to be #1 again. They were #1 when they won the back to back art Ross. I think once they get, they can reach top 3

Smith-Pelly- Getzlaf - Perry?

Anaheim escaped my mind whilst I was making the list. Let me revise my whole list... Cant say I was thinking straight while making this list.

1. Benn - Seguin - Spezza

2. Kunitz - Crosby - Dupuis

3. Sharp - Toews - Hossa

4. Burakovsky - Backstrom - Ovechkin

5. Smith Pelly - Getzlaf - Perry

6. Drouin - Stamkos - Callahan

7. Nelson - Tavares - Okposo

8. Marleau - Couture - Wingels

9. Sedin - Sedin - Vrbata

Maybe a little more accurate this time around

Benn - Spezza - Seguin

Smith Pelly - Getzlaf - Perry

Drouin - Stamkos - Palat

Sharp - Toews - Hossa

Kunitz - Crosby - Dupuis

Marleau - Couture - Wingels

Parise - Granlund - Pominville

Nelson - Tavares - Okposo

Ovechkin - Backstrom - Brouwer

Marleau - Couture - Wingels

Datsyuk - Zetterberg - Abdelkader

Landeskog - MacKinnon - O'Reilly

Hall - Nugent-Hopkins - Eberle

Lucic - Krejci - Griffith

JVR - Bozak - Kessel

No particular order but I'd take all those and about 4 or 5 2nd lines over Sedin - Sedin - Vrbata

How many games are we trying to lose with Hall - Nuge - Eberle as our first line?

Kunitz - Crosby - Hornqvist

Drouin - Stamkos - Callahan

Conacher - Tavares - Okposo

Sharp - Toews - Hossa

Gaborik - Kopitar - Williams

Smith-Pelly - Getlzaf - Perry

Smith - Bergeron - Marchand (maybe their second line, but its their best line)

Benn - Seguin - Spezza

Landeskog - Mackinnon - O'Reilly

Marleau - Couture - Nieto

Ovechkin - Backstrom - Brouwer

Raffl - Giroux - Voracek

I'd say all of these lines are pretty solidly above ours. I think we're in the mix with EDM, TOR, STL. MIN, NYR (they're better when healthy though) MON, and DET. So we're probably in the 15-20 range, and there's a pretty big gap between us and the top 5-10.

I'd say top 2 for sure. Crosby's line got split up today so you can't count them anymore. I'm not sure if it's changed now, but Nelson was only playing with Okposo and Tavares on the PP and Conacher was on that line 5 on 5. Tampa's line has crazy potential.

But ya SSV top 2 guaranteed.
