Yeah, sometimes I wonder if people are watching the same games. Kassian, though the numbers aren't showing it - has been easily one of our best forwards the last 4 games.

I have to agree. On that Richardson goal last night, Kassian created the space for Richardson to be able to charge up to the D unimpeded. He got no point but was instrumental in the goal.

The problem with Kassian, is that he's been playing with plugs so far. That said, I think I see Willie's logic. Matthias and Richardson are both continuing to improve as time goes by. I think Matthias had his best game last night.

Kassian needs to make those around him better... that was a necessity for him to be eligible for better minutes. He's doing that, so let's hope the chemistry continues to develop and then people won't be bitching about zack anymore.

OK so he is NOT burning it up in the AHL so........... how does he earn a spot on the big club? I don't see him being better than Matthias or Richardson right now who are proven NHL'ers. Maybe just some wishful thinking here I don't know.

Well you obviously don't understand numbers but just because he doesn't have any points in 4 games it doesn't mean he will never score a point in the NHL.

I dont know but I can't wait to see these young guns start to make an impact

Agreed, & it appears a fine art to integrate a series of top-end prospects into the show. We'll probably see it resemble teams like Det, TBay & Mtl, with JB, TL & WD here & calling the shots.

Can't help but sometimes wonder if they deal away any of these impressive young pieces, to speed up the Canucks' reemergence.

He's been okay the last 4 games, nowhere near the best. He could and should be playing much better, he's also been a black hole for turnovers nearly every single game, so yeah...Kassian.

So Dogbyte since you know a lot about numbers, who is going to replace Burr? Horvat? Jensen? I like Horvat just as much as the next guy but I don't believe there are any "gimme's" here. Mngmnt's job is still to put out the best product possible and I think that supercedes the need to give the rookie "a chance". There are a lot of games left this season and I am sure he will get his chance before it ends.

Both Horvat and Sestito need to slot in. It's only fair.

My guess?

Horvat in

Sestito in

Hansen out

If the Canucks do well, and Sestito puts up some good minutes, then alternate Sestito and Hansen for 3-4 games until one of them steps up.

Hasn't Hansen already stepped up. That 4th line is perfect when Dorsett and Hansen are on the wings. I bet that after the Preds clash, the Nucks play this as their lineup

Sedin-Sedin-Vrbata

Higgins-Bonino-Kassian

Mathias-Horvat-Vey

Dorsett-Richie-Hansen

Vey stays, he plays well on the PP with the top unit. why break up that good PP unit?

Burrows is likely only getting one or two games for that hit. He didn't intend to hurt Emlien

I said Vey OR Hansen. And I also said Vey is good on PP...

Vey has been weak in other areas (5-5) if you actually watch his play. Faceoffs, forchecking, strength etc. I think Horvat can replace him easily 5-5 on the 4th line.(& maybe eventually on the 1st PP?)

We also have Bonino, Kassian, & others who could fill in on the 1st PP for a few games if needed.

If your taking someone out it has to be a 4th liner at this point as line 1-3 have been solid. Line 4 has been good too but if any of the 3 I'd say it's best to sit a young centre who plays on the 4th line for a young Horvat who right now fits our 4th line role better than Vey does in my eyes.

Also Burrows got 3 games not 1 or 2 like he should've so I guess that makes the decision even easier. I still say one of Hansen or Vey sits when Sestito is injected in which will be soon vs SJ, LA, & or ANA.
