Zuongo
LOL. But Nah, That would be dumb, and if Benning did that and we lost in the first round like the last two playoffs we were in.... All you guys would be calling for his head. Lets just trade for some sick players who will have instant chemistry with players they have never played before right? Makes sense. - Derek Roy
Sir Lord Baltimore
Of course it is.... ....about as realistic as the Canucks being 1 or 2 peices away from winning a Cup. If you believe that then I have a bridge to sell you...
Monty
Going all in would be a mistake, we're not close enough to take a gamble like that. If the Canucks were a poker hand I'd say they're no better than two pairs or three of a kind at best right now. This. If the Canucks keep up their play, obviously they're a playoff team, but definitely not SCF good. What they need is a top defensemen, which no team is willing to part with, nor should they part with. RUPERTKBD
If you believe that then I have a bridge to sell you... I don't believe that. That's the point. You really need to work on your reading comprehension. I don't think for a second that the Canucks are 1 or 2 pieces away from winning a Cup. Hence my comment of "maybe", providing that those two players being the consensus best in the entire league at their respective positions, In no way do I believe that those players could be had by the Canucks. I used their names to demonstrate how far-fetched it is to believe that 1 or 2 additions to the current roster could result in a Cup.

ChuckNORRIS4Cup
I think it all depends on how this team does before the trade deadline. Obviously if they are out of the playoff hunt by a long shot then no nothing happens, but if they are some what close or in a playoff spot then I could see a couple of moves made. Are they going to go all in no, but they will make a trade here or there to fill a couple spots to be better for a playoff run.

Angry Goose
High cost rentals are too much of a risk e.g. Miller, Vanek, etc. Depth rentals are important tho because of injuries
canacks1970
King's are good but absolutely no way they win either of their cups if officiating wasn't fixed. Canucks could easily take them if they played in a fair atmosphere where the nhl didn't supply the officiating Sorry Apollo. Tell us when the fix was in last year for the Kings? If I can recall BACK IN 2012 Vancouver didn't play well after the Boston game that year. They coasted the last couple of months and were outplayed in the first round by the Kings. Face it. They just got beat by a hungrier team. We can't blame the officials . Just like we can't blame Loungo and Schnieder for our playoff failures either.
