C.S.Strowbridge
As of the the end of play last night, six of the seven Canadian teams are in the playoffs. Granted, it is really early, but this is still an amazing turnaround from last year when only one team made the playoffs. I can't even remember the last time the Canadian teams were doing this well as a group. Now if only Edmonton could turn things around.

Apple Juice
At the end of the year, I'm just hoping at least one Western Conference Canadian team makes it to the playoffs. I don't care who, as long as us west coasters have a Canadian team to root for.
-AJ-
Frankly, that's just a bonus for me. I only really care about the Canucks' chances. Once we're out, then I start caring about nationalities.
Bruce Boudreau
Don't care much for Habs and Leafs. They and their fans especially annoying Habs fans who bring up their ancient Stanley Cup wins can suck it...
Monty
Hard not to like how Calgary has been grinding it out lately. In the past, I would have been all for Canucks, Habs, and the Sens succeeding and seeing the rest of Canadian teams rot. However, the Jets have been playing incredibly well this season. While they haven't been finding the back of the net a ton, they have been playing an incredibly tight defensive game, followed up by surprising goaltending. And while Kane and Scheifele need to start finding the back of the net, they have both been playing incredibly well; they are in the right places and creating a ton of chances, so it's only a matter of time with them. And surprisingly, Enstrom has rebounded nicely this season. I'd be happy to see all teams, except the Oilers make it. The only reason I want the Leafs to make it in is so they can collapse in the first round again.
CALGARY!
It would be awesome to have as much Canadian presence as possible in the playoffs. Especially if by some stroke of lightning 4 or so made it to the second round, imagine all the lost ratings down south when Van-CGY and Toronto-Montreal take to each other in the second round, guarateeing 2 canadian conferance finalists. haha I like to dream. TOMapleLaughs
The combined turnaround seems utterly ridiculous, considering the on-paper strength of some of these teams. It's early though, but it would seem that more American teams are outright tanking.
UFCanuck
Edmonton doesn't belong in the NHL. 6/
theminister
If 6/7 ain't bad then the Oilers are just bad, right? Also....the Leafs are likely to make a major tumble in the standings and all major stats by the end of the month. They play.... Pens x2, Sabres, Preds, Red Wings, Lightning, and Caps....how many of those will they win? One? Two?

I'm betting they split wins with the Pens, lose to the Sabres , lose to the Preds, lose to the Wings, lose to the Lighting, and then beat the Caps. C.S.Strowbridge
lol as soon as I saw 6 of 7 I just lol'd cuz Edmonton. It was less than a decade ago that they made it to the Stanley Cup finals and came within one game of winning it all. Since then, they haven't made the playoffs once. Then again, the preceding twelve years, the missed the playoffs six times and only won two round of playoff hockey. 21 years of hokey and only making the playoffs seven times.
