Neversummer
LA 3 - Ana 2 in OT ... almost exactly the mirror image result except goal was scored in OT, not SO.
Canucks1219
Buffalo leading Toronto 2-0 and have an edge in shots (albeit a close one) at 14-11. On a side note, Aaron Ekblad is having a hell of a rookie season so far. 14GP 2g 7a 9pts 6PIM +1 Those are pretty impressive stats for any rookie, let alone a defenseman. Believe it or not he is tied with Jokinen for the team lead in scoring. His +/- is second highest among Panthers defenseman, with Willie Mitchell at No.1 (+5). He is averaging 21:50 TOI and has been under 20 minutes only twice so far. Filip Forsberg is probably leading the early-Calder race by a good margin, but considering the circumstances Ekblad is definitely in the mix too. After the loss to Pitts yesterday and the game today, they follow up the month with games against the Preds, Pens, Red Wings, Bolts and Caps. They'll be under .500 by the end of November with the city in an uproar and the season slipping away. The coach and GM will both be gone by Christmas is my bet. Good times. BTW…. why don't we have a Leafs thread this year? I miss watching the reactions to the Leaf's annual collapse in those/

Someone trade for their 1st rounder quick!

TheRussianRocket.
Phillys 3rd goal is priceless (no pun intended) Great job by the ref letting play continue and not blowing the play down from the pile.

Nas19
And somehow Geno got a penalty for getting attacked after making the hit. Yeah that was bull. Penguins should have been on the powerplay there. That hit was textbook. Shoulder to chest.

The penalty was for roughing on Staal in the scrum after. I don't agree with it but I understand why a ref would make that call.

Nas19
Girardi is back on the ice for the OT. No idea how. He's concussed. He has to be. If he doesn't have any symptoms today he will in the next few days.
