-Vintage Canuck-
Wild place goaltender Josh Harding on waivers. I could see a team like the Oilers picking him up: The Minnesota Wild activated goaltender Josh Harding off injured reserve Monday and placed him on waivers. Harding had 18 wins and a 1.65 goals-against average in 29 appearances last season, but didn't play after Dec. 31 because of issues with the medication he takes to fight multiple sclerosis. Harding was expected to battle for the No. 1 goaltending job in training camp, but fractured his foot in an off-ice incident and was suspended by the team. The 30-year-old is 60-59-11 with a 2.45 GAA and .918 save percentage in 151 games for the Wild, who selected him in the second round (No. 38) of the 2002 NHL Draft. http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=739574

ice orca
The Oilers are dumb the could have grabbed Markstrom.
Guest Dasein
Well Harding is not an ordinary 30 year old. He's dealing with MS as well.
qwijibo
The Oilers are dumb the could have grabbed Markstrom. Considering Markstrom's record in the NHL so far, why would they consider him an upgrade on either of their current goaltenders?
MayRayDown
Well Harding is not an ordinary 30 year old. He's dealing with MS as well. He was still solid when he played last year even though his season was cut short when his medication didn't work. If Oilers want to win games Harding is better than both their goalies and should claim him
3KBieksa
maybe new jersey should claim him... solid back up to Cory better than Clemmenson
Ryan Strome
The Oilers are dumb the could have grabbed Markstrom. So I guess every team in the Nhl is dumb?

Jägermeister
Somebody has to pick him up, right? This also shows you how low the value for goalies currently is.
D-Money
Yeah - no way he gets past New Jersey.
apollo
Devils must pick him up. Absolutely must. They need an actual goalie. Cory is evidently not cut out to be a starter like I've preached for years. He's good to play 45 or 50 max. Let harding lighten the load.
MayRayDown
So I guess every team in the Nhl is dumb? Yes because every NHL team has 2 goalies that have 3 GAA and under .900 SV percent...
UFCanuck
So I guess every team in the Nhl is dumb?Just the Oilers and Leafs.
Master Mind
He was looking like the vezina favourite when he was able to play last season. He's a great goalie when healthy, and I imagine there will be at least one team willing to take a chance on him.
Ryan Strome
Yes because every NHL team has 2 goalies that have 3 GAA and under .900 SV percent... So you're suggesting the Oilers should have been able to see the future? Brilliant..
elvis15
maybe new jersey should claim him... solid back up to Cory better than Clemmenson Clemmenson was waived and they brought up Kinkaid in his place. I agree though that he'd be a good option for them if his medications are all sorted though. The Oilers could go after him too I guess, but their problem isn't that Scrivens and Fasth are no good, but rather that the team they have does little to help them. Bringing in another goalie, one that has trouble with medical issues that have kept him out more often than not, isn't going to solve their issues. DeltaSwede
I actually wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get claimed. If he does, I sure hope it is for the Devils for their sake.
HerrDrFunk
Jumping on the Devils bandwagon as well. Corey is a great goalie but they're going to run him into the ground if they plan on starting him every game. What is he at now, 18 consecutive starts? One more game and he ties one of Brodeur's records.
