Kansas Jewish center shooter: I wanted to make damned sure I killed some Jews before I died

The white supremacist charged with killing three people at a Jewish Community Center and a Jewish retirement center in Overland Park, Kansas, in April has opened up for the first time saying he believed he was dying and wanted to kill some Jews before he died.

F. Glenn Miller Jr., 73, who faces a capital murder charge, told The Kansas City Star that he was diagnosed with emphysema after going to the emergency room in late March, unable to breathe

I was convinced I was dying then, said Miller. I wanted to make damned sure I killed some Jews or attacked the Jews before I died.

Miller who also goes by the name Frazier Glenn Cross Jr. has been charged with killing physician William Corporon, 69, and his grandson Reat Underwood, 14, at the Jewish Community Center and Terri LaManno, 53, who was visiting her mother at the nearby Village Shalom care center.

None of the victims were Jewish.

The well-known white supremacist who has once led a white power party in North Carolina, and ran for multiple political offices including governor and for the U.S. Senate, spoke with The Star in a series of phone calls.

In the calls, Miller stated that he felt his actions were effective, saying, Because of what I did, Jews feel less secure.

Every Jew in the world knows my name now and what I did. As for these white people who are accomplices of the Jews, who attend their meetings and contribute to their fundraising efforts and who empower the Jews, they are my enemy too. A lot of white people who associate with Jews, go to Jewish events and support them know that theyre not safe either, thanks to me.

Miller said that he had one regret.

The young white boy, he said. I regret that, but declined when asked if he wanted to say anything to the family of 14-year-old Reat Underwood.

Not now, he said.

In the interviews, Miller explained that he conducted Internet searches for Jewish centers in the Kansas City area, but believed the authorities were watching him due to his criminal history.

I even Googled Islamic community centers, Hispanic community centers, Baptist community centers, just to throw them off, he said. I didnt drive my truck because I was convinced it was being monitored by satellite by the cops. Thats the reason I took my wifes car.

Miller said he drove to the Jewish Community Center numerous times in the week leading up to the shootings, saying, I reconnoitered the damned place.

He admitted he first went to the center about six days before the shootings, unarmed, because wanted to see whether anyone would try to stop him.

And nothing happened, he explained. I parked right in front of it and drove around. If the feds had been monitoring me, theyd have stopped me right then because they were afraid I was going to kill somebody.

Miller chose the April 13 date after reading online that the community center was sponsoring an American Idol-style talent competition.

And according to the flier that I read, it says young Jews from all over will be participating, he said.

Miller almost didnt proceed with the shooting because he hadnt seen enough people that day to satisfy my quota, which he said was maybe six or eight.

In the end, Miller shot and killed the three, missing others and letting one woman go after she claimed she wasnt Jewish, before calling 911 from a parking lot a few blocks away while drinking Wild Turkey.

Reflecting on the shootings, Miller said, I have never felt such exhilaration. Finally, Id done something.

LOCK... (even tho' this may be topiclal,)..for the very inflamatory heading alone.

Hey OP, there's a clear reason the newspaper lead with the preface that you chose to exclude. Just sayin'.

Since when did you care about being PC?

He might be a 'white supremacist', but it says a lot that he chose a Jewish community center and feeling absolutely no remorse after it.

Regardless of these silly little titles that we can give someone, a murderer is still a murderer. Who gives a flying fuck if he is a black or an Asian supremacist?

I did try to post the rest of the headline, but it didnt take. Dont know how to change the title. That said, is it factually inaccurate?

I wish I could understand these people's reasoning.

Just a glimpse of their thought process.

What did Jews do that made these assholes so mad? I don't get it.

Congrats on killing some people man, you really showed them Jews didn't ya!

Nah, you really didn't prove anything at all.

Maybe just how much of a piece of crap you are.

I don't get why people like this are entitled to the luxury of staying alive...

It may be dark to say, but people like this end up hurting more people and ruining more lives.

They've given up their right to life at that point.

Don't know if a lot of you have ever heard of that one, but I was actually there that day. I am proud to admit I'm Jewish, and I went to that camp for many years. I was there on the day of the shooting, but thankfully I was out on a field trip at the time of the shooting (ironically at the Holocaust museum). I know all 5 victims who were shot, 3 of whom went to my temple, 2 of whom I still keep in touch with. I was very young, and it was an incident that really messed up a lot of people around me, and really freaked me out for years.

It's a crazy world,...when delusional & psychologically-poisoned people get themselves to a point where they are actually capable of taking the lives of innocent people,...& before someone can discover that they're sick or unstable,..& expose or thwart their evil plans. This news from Kansas is not all that different from other repugnant acts that occur across the world,.. like the Norwary Island Camp Massacre in the summer of 2011,...where there were unfathomably 80 dead or missing. No need to give any notoriety to these murderers,..as they're inexplicable abominations in life & zeros in death.

A shocking & horrific event,.. to have happened in such a peaceful part of the world, too. And - this idiot's supposed reason for killing was that he just didn't like the ruling government's politics... so he decided to attack their youth,..innocent young people as fresh as 14 years of age, simply for their budding political beliefs... or associations.

Haters are going to hate. So, don't be afraid or too reluctant to report alarming hate-talk or suspicious behaviors - if your conscience is telling you that somethin' evil or insanely-crazy might be going on. You could be thwarting this^.

.

Canada's defense minister Peter MacKay said on CBC's Power & Politics that, "This reminds us to be vigilant."

Could this man not be considered a terrorist?

If it were a Muslim extremist or if he had used a bomb, it would have made worlwide front page headlines and there would be talk of more security measures.

Yet this has all the elements of a terrorist attack. A person inspired by hateful ideology murdering a specific group. He even says he wanted to make Jews feel less secure, which is the definition of a terrorist attack.
