Herd on 1040 he did a press conference today and answered a number of questions about tomorrow's game and others topics related to his trade. Missed the interview , but did here his comments on if he thinks he will get booed. He said if he does , it's just guna pump him up more.

Does anyone have any other highlights to share about this interview for us that missed it ?

Heard on tsn Canuck radio thing. Some highlights

"If they boo me it'll fire me up more"

"Media was hard on him but fair"

Thats the 2 things I remember. Also remember him talking about the trade and he made it seem like it was a mutual thing that both partys thought a trade would be good and said it was difficult to waive ntc which i thought was funny

From what I caught.

He said it was strange going into the opposite dressing room

Seeing the hallway to his old lockers brought back good memories

And when asked about the welcome he may get he responded saying something along the lines of that he hopes people remember the effort and good times he spent with the Canucks but if he gets booed he said that's how it goes

Was nervous being a new guy for the first time in the locker room but the duck's players brought him in and made him feel welcomed.

Happy with the leadership, staff etc

He did say wants to get the 2 points and get out of here, But I think that can be blown out of proportion with incorrect context

Missed the rest of the interview

As much as Kesler did add to his own demise, his play here throughout his career should not warrant any booing. I understand that you paid for your ticket (most likely just given to you in Vancouver), and you figure you should be able to boo... but he was traded. Sure, some people say that he demanded a trade, he was creating animosity in the room. That is up to staff and management to address and they couldnt do it properly, so they traded him. He did not sign somewhere for less, he did not publicy try to do anything negative to this team.

Boo if you want, I will be yelling at you to shutup. You go win the Selke and drop 40.

Yeah, very much out of context.

Referring to the team getting two points from the game. Absolutely no attitude or anything of note to take from that quote.

“If they boo me, it’ll probably jack me up even more,”

I guess we as Canucks fans should have booed him when he was a Canuck - maybe he would have scored some goals against Boston in 2011.

Ya he sounded pretty humble during the interview. At the end of the day, The Trade happened and both teams seem pretty happy with the trade so far.

Bonino has been amazing for us. His Cap is awesome. Before the injury Sbia was just starting to get more confident and since he has been gone, you can notice it. A big D using his body. MCcann dropping down to us was great. Very excited to see what he can do in a few years.

I think Kesler has found some teammates that compliment his style of play as well. A couple of the Ducks games Ive checked in on, He has been exciting to watch.

Theres no denying how hard he played for the Canucks over the years, I will always respect him for that and I'll never forget how he played in the Canucks jersey. That being said I'll also never forget how he left. He hung his teamates out to dry, the city of Vancouver and the organization when he asked out and only gave a list of 2 teams, one of which had no cap room to do anything leaving the Canucks one option. Bravo to Benning for getting what he did, but I have every right to boo a player that put himself before the teamates he played with for a decade and an organization that developed him into what he is today. I can sum Ryan Kesler up with one word SELFISH!

Ryan Kesler will be making his return to Vancouver Thursday when the Canucks host the Anaheim Ducks. Kesler spoke at a press conference in regards to his return to the city.

Kesler spent 11 years with the Canucks franchise, but he’s aware that there’s a chance he might be booed, however Kesler issued a bit of a warning to Canucks fans in that regard.

“If they boo me, it’ll probably jack me up even more,”

It’s not like Kesler was hoping for a negative reaction from the fans, on the contrary, Kesler is hoping that fans in Vancouver will focus on the positives form his 11 yearswith the team, and not the negative atmosphere that surrounded his trade demands:

“Hopefully they appreciated the 11 years that I played here and remember all the good times,”

I can’t speak for all Canucks fans, but the fact that Kesler was so toxic when the team needed him most has left a bitter taste in my mouth, I don’t think I’ll be welcoming him back with cheers.

I can't hate Kesler he was warrior, he gave everything he had on the ice. How can people discredit that?

Ya he left, but look around, it was best for both sides. Why be mad about that?

Why can't we show some class for once.
