Ranking the Four Major Sports Leagues' Websites

I did a quick search on Google but couldn't find anything (maybe didn't use the best search terms).

As much as I would appreciate the users on this forum sharing their personal rankings, have any websites out there done a proper analysis about the four major leagues' (NFL.com, MLB.mlb.com, NBA.com and NHL.com) websites and how well designed they are?

I know I'm biased, but I have to say that I feel that the NHL site is much better looking and functioning than at least the NBA and MLB site.

Has anyone seen any website out there that has properly ranked each of the sports leagues websites?

I am not into baseball and basketball but I frequent the NHL and NFL sites regularly.

I find both of them have way to much going on and are very clunky and barely worth using. They are forever loading banners and videos. By the time they are half resolved I've usually gone the way of goggling another site for the information. The NFL one has quite cool graphics that show where the ball is on the field, who is driving, what down it is and a short synopsis of the last play. It's not bad but again the engine is so bulky that it's hardly worth it.

The only thing I really use NHL.com for is to check the standings, and even that is painful.

I never go on NHL.com. The stats that they have for each player are limited. The articles that they post over there are lacking in quality compare to the number of blogs around the internet. Even for checking schedules, scoreboard and standings there are better sites with faster loading time and less hassle. Even for recent news HF is significantly faster.

The NFL is the best IMO. Easy and smooth to navigate but as deep as the others with the best stat system.

The NHL is the simplest and easily to understand but sometimes the stories can seem kid like and the stats and boxscores seem a bit behind the others.

MLB has the best gamecast/gameday feature. It's also very deep and imo not far behind the NFL but the message boards are horrendous and it's a little confusing at times to get where you want.

The NBA is pretty well balanced and has some unique stuff like NBA pulse and fan friendly stuff but it's just an ugly looking site.
