NJ is finally starting Clemmenson in net. Odd time to finally let your backup goalie get a start when it comes the game after Schneider beat Broduer's old record for most consecutive starts at the beginning of a season. (Brodeur still holds the franchise record for the most consecutive starts at 44.)

Not really sure who's idea that was but it's kind of bad form. Getting your new starter into a regular rhythm should have been more important than wearing him out to set a meaningless record while symbolically erasing the old starter (who, let's be honest, will remain all over their record books forever more anyway).

Wow, Florida scores 2 goals in the final 45 to tie it. They were 12 seconds apart.

Luongo having a great game with 41 saves.

I know. It was sweet, especially that second goal when the goalie got caught out. LOL

Too bad Florida failed to score in the shootout. Luo had a great game though. He made 48 saves on 50 shots!

Surprised NSH knows how to throw 50 shots and score 9 goals!

FLA stole a point big time, could have gotten 2. But Panthers quietly racking up points, with the least games played and are missing some key players. They should make the playoffs with how they are going

I know, I was surprised Nashville could shot that much too. LOL (Though they only got 2 goals, plus 1 in the shootout.)

Florida definitely stole a point, but wish they had stolen 2. I do agree though they have made some major improvements in the off season and even seem to be getting better as the season goes on. Still work to be done though, especially scoring. If they can break through with a few more set plays they might be halfway decent team. Luo's definitely giving them a solid chance most nights!

-----------

And in other news, I see Edmonton is helping Chicago practice for their game against us tomorrow. How friendly of them.

Exactly what I noticed. No real breakouts to start from their own zone and come in with speed. They do have speed and some offensive talent. But they are decent defensively, and so far have been picking up points. When your not such a great team, you can win by defense, not usually by offense, like the Oilers
