Hidden Panda
Van Dmitry Kulikov Fla Stanton Lack -or- Van Brian Campbell (40% salary retention by Florida) Fla Stanton Lack With Roberto Luongos apparent injury, the Panthers are looking at Al Montoya as their starter and whatever goalie they call up as their backup. I'd say we could use this opportunity as a way to address our D issue with Hamhuis out, and help Florida with their potential goalie issue. Keep in mind though that if Luongo's injury is short term, then this will not happen. This is purely based on the potential for Luongo's injury to be long term. Ryan Strome
Florida wouldn't do the Kulikov deal and I doubt they do the Campbell deal. As far as Lack his numbers are not starter numbers either.

Magikal
To be honest I would rather have Lack. People forget how young he is. Schneider took until he was almost 27 years old before he started playing lights out. Lack will be there in time and a stud goalie is always more valuable than a good dman. Kulikov is a sick player though and I would definitely want to nag him for our blue line.

But the only other goalie that would fit the parameters of this proposal is Markstrom and that wouldn't fly for obvious reasons.
D-Money
Florida is playing very good defensive hockey lately. Doubt they'll be in a rush to trade one of their top-4 D-men. Montoya should be able to hold the fort for a while. If they really need someone short term, they can probably get Harding for next to nothing. Speaking of Florida's top-4, how dam good is Ekblad? No top-end talent in the 2014 draft my a$$!!!
Hidden Panda
FWIW, Campbell reportedly asked for a trade in the summer.
D-Money
In theory, I don't mind Campbell. He could be a good fit... On the other hand, our D seem to be finding a good groove. Do we push Sbisa out the door to make room for a 35 year-old? That's doesn't really sync with what we have going on. But you'd have to think that if BC was on the market, somebody else would be willing to pay more than us. For instance, the Sharks are in free-fall (5-10-2 in their last 17), and I think they would JUMP at the chance to bring Campbell back. They really miss Boyle, and could use a veteran offensive D-man. oldnews
Petrovic Buried behind talent - cheaper - NHL ready - is likely to want out of there given the jam on their blueline.
Gollumpus
Petrovic Buried behind talent - cheaper - NHL ready - is likely to want out of there given the jam on their blueline. Indeed. If they were wanting to trade away Kulikov then the Panthers have a good, young prospect already waiting in the system (Petrovic) which is why they wouldn't necessarily need/want Stanton in this deal. I suspect a forward would be more to their liking (probably a winger). However, an alternate deal where the Canucks could get Petrovic for something (probably a winger) would be nice to see... depending on the player/prospect going the other way. regards. G. D-Money
I like Petrovic too. I wonder if a deal could be there for Vey? Both NHL-ready 2nd rounders who are stuck behind a log-jam on their team.
