Ghostsof1915
Boston according to Capgeek has $6.3 million in cap space. Boston apparently wants toughness. Bieksa and Kassian, and a 2nd rounder in 2016 ($6.350 million) for Dougie Hamilton ($1.495 million including bonuses). This of course is based on Bieksa being willing to waive his NTC. We get younger and a stud puck moving D-man. They get tougher and get leadership. We also clear up $4 million in cap space.

Schneider.Man604
ya right like KB3 is gonna waive his NTC to go to a team that he despises the most. But I am all for trading him, he is not worth his contract.

Hidden Panda
Boston is literally Hitler in Bieksa's eyes and even for that package, theres no way they'd give up Hamilton. He's pegged as their future #1 D with Chara in the twilight of his career.
canuktravella
ya you gotta think bieska hates bruins as much as we do, plus no way bruins trade hamilton hes good and big and young not happening
BCNeil
As always. These silly trades don't consider the other 28 teams in the league. If Boston wants to shop Dougie, an offer of an aging Dman with a heavy contract, an injured and inconsistent 3rd liner, and a pick. Well I imagine 10 teams would throw out better offers. Why is this a hard concept?
Pimp C
Lol why would Boston make this trade? I know this is a Canucks board, and you guys are biased to no end, but you gotta think from the other teams perspective.
Canuck Surfer
Add Chara's cap hit back in after he returns from LTIR for a more realistic figure???

I know this is a Canucks board, and you guys are biased to no end, but you gotta think from the other teams perspective. Some of us get it. Just hardly ever the thread starters. I guess cause for the most part we don't start threads, cause there is really no need for a trade of any sort right now. I imagine at deadline, if the Canucks are still up there in the standings, we will be one of many teams looking to grab a veteran D, but that's about it.But for this trade. Even if Boston was actively trying to move Hamilton. The Canucks offer that, all Boston says is "you're not even close to other considerations"
DownUndaCanuck
I doubt Bieksa would waive and his value is super low right now, maybe swap him for Hamhuis which would be more do-able. Hamhuis, Kassian and a 2nd for Hamilton or Krug and a later pick.

Mathew Barzal
Hamilton was a rock in Chara's stead, I don't think they're letting him go for anything short of a franchise player. I think Krug on the otherhand could be had. Something around Krug and Kassian should fit the bill.

The Lock
The only reason why Boston MIGHT trade Hamilton is due to the past nature of Chiarelli, trading Seguin away with the inability to replace him. However, Boston needs Hamilton especially now. They'd be stupid to trade him. Period.
shazzam
They are having big problems scoring, I don't see them trading Hamilton at all, their best offensive D. They have no reason to.
