With John Gibson currently on injured reserve with a lower body injury, the Ducks are looking for a backup to Frederik Andersen. Bryzgalov was originally drafted by the Ducks in 2000 and started his NHL career with the team a year later. The 34-year-old Bryzgalov has also had stops in Phoenix, Philadelphia, Edmonton and Minnesota. Along the same lines, the St. Louis Blues signed Martin Brodeur on Tuesday to back up Jake Allen while Brian Elliott is on injured reserve. CRAZY_4_NAZZY
As weird and crazy Bryz is, he is a decent goalie.

SamJamIam
Wow, who knew that two rookie goalies and LaBarbera wasn't going to be enough for the Ducks?
LaBamba
He is a decent goalie that just needs to find his spot. I thought he played decent for the Wild last year. He is mental but he can stop the puck
Robongo
Lol he's come full circle back to the Ducks. Hard not to like Bryz, he's good enough to at least be a backup on this league, no question
iinatcc
Yeah I like Bryz too ... not as my team's starting goalie but I always enjoyed his happy go lucky personality

Master Mind
He was good for the Wild last year, and he'll do fine as a backup for the Ducks. He's a better goalie than many give him credit for.
Red Light Racicot
He certainly acts charismatic and witty in front of a camera, but otherwise he has been a prima donna. With him and Kesler in the same locker room, the Ducks might have problems.

Neversummer
Brodeur is thinking, 'Damn .. I should have waited a tad longer and held out'. Anaheim would be a great gig. And now Chicago's Corey Crawford is out a few weeks too.

D-Money
Last year Ducks had this for goaltending depth: Hiller - Andersen - Fasth - Gibson. Now they are reduced to Bryz. It's similar up front. They gutted a lot of their veteran depth to make way for the kids. Although they are quality prospects, and had decent starts, it's a long season, and many young guys have trouble maintaining their A-game once the adrenaline wears off and the vets have shaken off the rust. I expect as the season goes on, the Ducks are going to drop in the standings.
apollo
Bryz is a great goalie. It's too bad he's going to the ducks... We could have pummelled them in a 7 game series vs Gibson and Andersen
Coconuts
He was good for the Wild, I was surprised he didn't get a contract. He's better than people think and is worth having if only for his interviews. :D
