DanHamhuis2
Coyotes defenseman Keith Yandle is reportedly on the trading block again, and this time he might be traded. Yandle has been on the trading block for years but Coyotes GM Don Maloney has yet to make a trade. http://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/653751
-AJ-
Pretty good pickup. Relatively young and still a fantastic offensive defenseman. They should get a lot for him.
DownUndaCanuck
Not saying the Canucks should trade away youth or anything for Yandle, but he'd fit nicely on just about any playoff team around the deadline that wants to make a push. The Canucks could deserately use his passing and points from the blueline though. If we were in a good position by the deadline I'd consider dealing Sbisa, Richardson and a 2nd rounder or prospect for him. Essentially a 22 minute, 50 point but -3 and not very physical defenceman for a 20 minute, 15 point defenceman who can play physically, a 30-40 point 3rd line center who kills penalties and a 2nd rounder (60ish% chance of becoming a future middle-6 forward if that's what they want). Edler - Tanev Yandle - Bieksa Hamhuis - Stanton/Corrado/Weber
Trebreh
I hope Benning is on this Yandle sweepstakes... anything to bump Sbisa and Weber out of the lineup plssssss.

Yandle would be an excellent pick up, just depends on the price.

Bruce Boudreau
Pretty good pickup. Relatively young and still a fantastic offensive forward. They should get a lot for him. Sometimes he plays like a fourth forward on the ice but his position is still d.

I agree Yandle would be a good pickup, but much of the NHL could use him and the bidding for him could be expected to get very high-much higher Sbisa, Richardson and a 2nd round pick or equivalent prospect. Also, for their elite player, Arizone would want something elite coming back. At this time Canucks don't have the cap space to take on Yandle's cap hit in exchange to that of Richardson and Sbisa. Depending on what happens between now and the deadline, they might have room at the deadline, though it could put them in cap trouble next year. BOHORVAT53
Its gonna take a lot more then that to get a consistant top 10 Norris candidate. I bet Hextall is all over this, dangling Couturier. Phoenix has solid D that needs ice time. I assume the main piece they want coming back is a young 1st line forward (likely winger) and possibly future number 1 goalie who can play backup right away. Theyll probably ask for Kassian+Lack Kane+Hutchinson, Hodgson+Enroth, Zuccarello+Talbot, Hertl+Stalock, Rattie+Allen Jones, Tokarski, Lehner, Campbell, Vasilevsky, Lack

DownUndaCanuck
He's 28 so fits in with Edler's age nicely but wouldn't still be producing 5 years down the track when we're expecting our big push. He's still good for a 50 point season this year, followed by at least 30-40 in the next two you'd think. The asking price for him would be far too steep but who knows, Benning fleeced Anaheim with the Kesler trade so he might have a way with portraying players values. The most I'd be happy for JB to offer would be one of our left defencemen right now (Sbisa, Stanton) plus a forward like Richardson or a decent prospect like Jensen, Kassian, Vey or Shinkaruk and a pick. Yandle would fill that void of the left defenceman after the trade, and Richardson will be replaced by Horvat next season, or we have a surplass of good wingers so can afford to trade one of them for a position we don't have much of - puck moving defencemen. BOHORVAT53
Puck moving D is the most sought after commodity in the NHL. Even more so then big two way centre's. Arizona is not dumb enough to downgrade from their best player to Vancouvers worst players Sbisa/Stanton, just to get Richardson to play on their 4th line behind Hanzal Gagner and Vermette (especially considering they know theres a 75% chance theyll be able to try n get him free in July). Its gonna take a deal like Brad Richards for Mike Smith, Jussi Jokinen and Jeff Halpern

73 Percent
Do you think Yandle be worth Horvat + a 2nd round pick?yikes. I think he may be worth it. I think some team may pay it. I wouldn't.
D-Money
Yandle is definitely the type of player we need. But not a chance we're moving Horvat. In fact, I don't think we have the expendable youth to make this deal happen. Kassian, Sbisa, and a pick/prospect (not named Virtanen) would probably be the only package that makes sense from our end. Unless the Coyotes really like those players, other teams would be outbidding us.

Edler - Tanev Yandle - Bieksa Hamhuis - Stanton/Corrado/Weber Richardson is not a 30-40 point 3rd line centre. Sbisa has a lot of brain farts and would be lucky to be bottom pairing there 2nd round pick doesn't have 60% chance of being a second liner. More like 20% if we are lucky
Warhippy
Teams off the top of my head who'd jump on this. Florida Tampa Detroit Phillidelphia Nashville Edmonton Islanders Buffalo Any and all of them can package together something far superior than we could barring cap issues in their spare time. Yandle might be good, but probably not sell the farm good at 28 years old and he'll be a UFA soon enough in a league with unsure cap issues
