strange that Birdman is considered a comedy

is Birdman a comedy because it doesn't deal with some historical figure dying or fighting for human rights?

at least Boyhood and Birdman do unique things. most of these films listed look, to me, like quite generic, inoffensive, middle of the road biopics

i suspect Foxcatcher will have interesting style at least... Theory of Everything and Imitation Game just look dull to me, but I'll give em a try.

Haven't had a chance to watch any of the movies. I'll have to do that after seeing which ones do well during awards season

I'm surprised Modern Family isn't on there for Best Comedy though. I think they're more of an Emmy favourite anyways. Just surprised that they weren't even nominated
