[Discussion] Kassian Boston

Just wondering what your guys thoughts are on the idea of moving Kassian to Boston. Boston is looking for a RW that is bigger, they have been linked to Steward for a long time. Benning has a good connection in Boston. Only reason I would move Kassian is to get one of the Team deficiency filled.

I was thinking of a package involving a returning young defenseman.

Thoughts?

Canucks themselves have needed size. Since Matthias went down canucks haven't been the same. Kassian becomes an important piece on our team when we hit playoffs and teams like LA, Sharks ducks and blues start to push us around. Canucks looked pathetic when the brown ran sedin and was stumbling back to the bench and no one made him pay.

If the Bruins are looking for more size when they already have the likes of Lucic and chara maybe we should be considering the reasoning why.

Playoffs isn't about being the most skilled team. It's the team that can win in a seven game war. Whistles tend to get put away and a player like Kassian even on 3rd line becomes an important piece.

why the hell does EVERYONE want Krug?

We have 4 or 5 d prospects coming in soon with that skill set and comparable or better size. And before anyone asks who has that comparable skill set, ask yourself if you knew who the hell Krug was 2 seasons ago.

I also find it amazing that Krug is the end all be all but Subban isn't getting a sniff from this fan base because he's "to small"

Hamilton would require Kassian ++

Krug isn't someone I'd want.

Really, hard to decipher who would be available from Boston for Kassian alone

Kassian and our first for one of their aging centers

Sorry, just having a bad feeling even thinking about moving a power forward that has not yet developed to Boston

But...when has this ever happened before. I mean what club has ever traded a young promising forward and a pick for an established veteran only to regret it almost 30 years later to the day? I seriously cannot recall when that has ever happened or when that promising forward sat in a press box decades later as a major part of that clubs management group gloating as his team won a cup in the barn of the team that drafted and traded him in his own hometown.

I wish I knew when and where that has ever happened.

Are ya picking up what TW and I are putting down people????

I was unaware that CN did any "gloating" but thought that he did celebrate his team winning and who wouldn't ?

It`s a painted scenario....irony and poetic justice sees the PWF we traded for Pederson win a cup IN Van and dance and cheer in the press box doing it.

Honestly, it's a valid fear trading Kassian to Boston looking at the timeline ;)
