Ghostsof1915
At Fenway? That would be really cool.
drummer4now
They really need to get rid of this Winter Classic or outdoor games nonsense and the All star games... Both have been overused and now they need to invent something new..
Pears
It's not a classic if the same teams participate in it every other year...
NightHawkSniper
It's not a classic if the same teams participate in it every other year... It's a classic alright, a classic money-grab that is.

Master Mind
They'll probably play Pittsburgh too, or some other team involved in multiple winter classics. At least some new teams will be in the other 3 games.
g_bassi13
At Fenway? That would be really cool. Yeah, it would look something like this I don't know why I'm getting a sense of deja vu. This is all such a farce at this point. I remember when the question of whether them hosting one every year would make the product stale. Then they went and had two at the same time. Then they moved on to four. It's such a joke, especially when you see the same teams cycling in use over and over again. The most pointless match was the Chicago vs, Pittsburgh one from last year, where they dropped all pretence of historical or geographical rivalries and just threw two of their biggest teams together and called it an event. And now they moved that pointlessness to their marquee winter classic matchup by having the Blackhawks vs. Capitals. Ah yes, what a great rivalry. I remember the buzz surrounding the first time they went out to Fenway, with fans talking about their participation as something special, and "once in a lifetime." While I'm sure they had to have known that the NHL would come back if the event was still running, and they'd run out of other potential venues, but 5 seasons later? with 4 other teams, and then back to them? I know there are very few hockey fans that don't consider this to be a farce themselves, but I'm going to complain about it all the same.
Brad Marchand
They really need to get rid of this Winter Classic or outdoor games nonsense and the All star games... Both have been overused and now they need to invent something new.. Let's just merge them and have the All-Star game outdoors. That way we only have to have them both once a year. What about the other 7 outdoor games they'd want to hold that year?
Brad Marchand
What about the other 7 outdoor games they'd want to hold that year? Have them play 7 outdoor games in Sidney Crosby's backyard. The ratings will be massive.
La Mauviette75
At Fenway? That would be really cool. I would assume not, since they did that last time. The sight lines weren't great to say the least. My guess would be Gillette (68,756). They could also host at Harvard Stadium (30,323) or Alumni Stadium at Boston College (44,500). Gillette would make more sense IMO.
apollo
They really need to get rid of this Winter Classic or outdoor games nonsense and the All star games... Both have been overused and now they need to invent something new.. Why? If you don't like it don't watch. Oh wait you wouldn't be watching this game anyway. What's wrong with promoting the game a little in the US?

73 Percent
I would like to see something like MIN vs COL. it gets boring and tiring seeing the same teams participate every classicdefinitely. Minnesota fans deserve some recognition. They've never really been that elite easy to like team yet their fans support them night in and night out. KoreanHockeyFan
The NHL will never reduce the amount of outdoor games until they see revenue fall. These games have been packed ever since they started, so as long as this trend continues, the Winter "Classic" will continue to become a mainstay during the regular season. CALGARY!
lol, I think O6 teams are perfect candidates for winter games, they already have the biggest fan bases threwout the league, so they should have no problem selling out a stadium. Plus its nice to see a little variety. Im all for outdoor games. Id like to see them make one in Florida.
