The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired forward Jeremy Morin from the Chicago Blackhawks for defenseman Tim Erixon.

Morin, a healthy scratch the past 11 games, had 28 shots on goal and 15 penalty minutes in 15 games for the Blackhawks this season. A second-round pick (No. 45) of the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2009 NHL Draft, Morin has eight goals and 16 points in 54 NHL games. He signed a two-year contract extension with the Blackhawks on June 27.

"Jeremy is a young, strong forward with a very good shot, who has been a productive offensive player throughout his career," Blue Jackets general manager Jarmo Kekalainen told the team's official website. "Given our depth at defense, this was an opportunity for us to add a very good player with a lot of potential on the other end."

Erixon, the son of retired NHL player Jan Erixon, had a goal and six points for the Blue Jackets. The No. 23 pick of the Calgary Flames in the 2009 draft, Erixon has 13 points in 70 NHL games. He was traded to the Blue Jackets with Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov and a 2013 first-round pick by the New York Rangers for Rick Nash, Steven Delisle and a 2013 conditional third-round pick on July 23, 2012.

(In future, please do more than simply post a link....copy/paste the actual story as I have done here, preferably with some thoughts/insight as well. If you need help, just let a mod know)

Seriously? No tags and you can't even post an excerpt from the article? Make a little effort at least, please...

EDIT: here, let me help you. This is a [Trade], and here's the article:

Erixson, Rundblad, Van Riemsdyk, Clendening. The Blackhawks are stacked with young d corps and ready for the future. Almost every inidication that Oduya, Rosival, and possibly Seabrook will be playing their final seasons in Chicago this year, as they look for cap relief.

Good move for Chi Town.

Make an effort??? Click on the fricken link! I did...it was no trouble at all, didn't really have to put much effort into it either. I also had no problem understanding it was a trade. The things people complain about...incredible.

Smart people don't just "click" every link they see.

That's how computers end up in expensive repair shops.

Well he clicked it didn't he? As I'm sure you did. And the link clearly says www.nhl.com so...not really a mystery is it?

You can hide anything with some clever script writing man.

And to copy and paste 1 single paragraph and write the word trade shouldn't be to much to ask for. It's just plain etiquette like not staring at your neighbours urinal in a bathroom :)

I'm glad you have anything to contribute to the thread. At least I posted the actual article (which has now been added to the OP). Do you have any thoughts or are you here just to post pictures?

EDIT: and now he has even less to contribute. B)

Now you just sound jealous you didn't get to it first... Elvis just says all the things most of us are thinking. Mad bro?

This. Not only are posters required to put the things in I've mentioned (see the OP now edited by a mod) it just makes common sense. If you can't put in even the minimum required amount of effort when creating a thread, don't bother.

Also, some people might be at work or on a work computer and can't click on certain links. I waited to hover over the link and see what it was actually taking me to before clicking it. Best case scenario, it goes where it should. Middle of the road scenario it's a rickroll. Worst case, it takes me to an unsecured page and immediately loads a virus. In the very least, it's directing traffic away from the forums, which is also a no no.

But back to the trade. Seems to fill a need for CBJ - at least for now - and takes care of a problem for Chicago. Nothing major, but we'll see if it pans out. CBJ has the greatest chance of finding a gem and winning out on this deal.

I suppose, but someone could always post a paragraph with a dirty link as well...anyways...I thought those guys were looking at my shoes :)

Ok maybe your right. Just seemed pretty finicky for a Sunday morning

Edit: Good trade for both :)
