Ghostsof1915
Outside of Telus, is there any choices for good coverage on the Gulf Islands? My buddy moved to Saltspring Island, and he'd like to get phone that gets good reception. Anyone work/live on the Gulf Islands have any ideas? My only experience is with Rogers and mine seems to work on Mayne Island without issues.
Monty
My mom lives on Saltspring Island, and she hasn't had any issue with Telus.
Ghostsof1915
It seems Telus is the best option, that's the problem my buddy had bad experiences with Telus before. He wants to know if any of the other carriers have the same or better coverage.
Gurn
A decade ago I lived on Salt Spring. On my front porch it was long distance to Victoria, on the back porch I could sometimes use the phone, period.
Mimerez
I live on Salt Spring, and mostly everyone I know uses Telus. One of my friends uses Koodo, and it seems to work fine for him however.
Darth23
Yeah Telus has the only half decent cell coverage here. Also helps if you have a Shaw go wifi account.

Bells operates and maintains it in the east and Telus in the west. That being said if Telus and Koodo work on the gulf islands, then Bell and Virgin should as well.
