Relyt Krets
Edmonton gets: Radek Faksa, Remi Ellie, Trevor Daley, Jack Campbell and. 2016 1st. Dallas get Eberle, and Viktor Fasth. Hall shouldnt get traded by Edmonton. I see Eberle getting traded. Edmonton gets a boat load of youth and the Stars get a back up goalie that they desperately need and another winger to tske all the pressure off of Seguin and Benn. Hemsky being a bbust thus far Dallas needs it as well as secondary scoring. Dont see why Edmonton nit wanting more young potential but also Dallas may not want to part with it. Jiggs50
Lmao Dallas doesn't need Eberle. Overpayment.
YEGCanuck
Eberle is grossly over paid at $6 million per season. No team in their right mind will trade for him.
Phil_314
Edmonton gets a boat load of youth Dont see why Edmonton nit wanting more young potential but also Dallas may not want to part with it. Without considering the situation the Oil are in this might actually be a solid trade, esp. if the Oil are rebuilding... again. That being said, try to sell the first point to the Oilers faithful or even Craig MacTavish, and have your flame shield handy. The team wants to prove its competence to frustrated fans. Why would either of those groups accept... that for a return? Ebbs can bring more back too (probably NHL-ready goalie, solid defenseman, pick). NOT that package. Point #2: the Oil may be desperate to win, but you can't expect to Jason Spezza everyone. The package of Daley, Campbell (good draft pedigree) and two prospects and a 1st looks good (give you credit for it again), but the Oil need more ready-made, higher-end guys in return. Daley probably isn't the savior on the back end that they're waiting for, Jack Campbell for Fasth is probably a short-term downgrade (all the other goalie prospects probably aren't ready in case Scrivens falters and Fasth is their safety net for respectability), and the two prospects are good but again probably not the short-term fix the Oil want. MacT's on a short leash and if he pulls this kind of deal he'll probably get fired himself.
underrated
I think adding Jack Campbell as the future franchise goalie and another first rounder are obviously valuable pieces, but giving up on Eberle is literally going to have someone kill MacT. Jägermeister
I think people are missing the real problem, which is that this trade makes Dallas' already porous defence even worse. They give up the most goals per game in the NHL, and its on their D far more than it is on their goaltending.
