nuckin_futz
Lots of depressing stories in this forum lately. With the holidays right around the corner I figured some good news was in order. Dog Born Without Front Limbs Given 3D Printed Legs Derby is a dog who was born with malformed front legs. Unsatisfied with the currently-available wheeled options to assist disabled dogs, Derby’s owner sought additional help. The result was a set of custom designed, 3D printed prosthetic legs that allow Derby to run and play, just like any normal dog. http://www.iflscience.com/technology/dog-receives-3d-printed-prosthetic-legs *** They start him off with the legs low on purpose and will adjust them to proper height as he gets use to them. Gurn
"Lots of depressing stories in this forum lately. Maybe CDC members could create and keep a "Good News" thread open and updated?

Couldn't agree more. I actually think that's not just a smile of happiness on his face. It's a look of dignity restored.

Maybe CDC members could create and keep a "Good News" thread open and updated? Good news happens all the time. It just doesnt get viewers like war and conflict do. "No airplanes crashed today and everybody enjoyed getting to their destinations on time" doesnt sell.
Hank Moody
I was just gonna say it looks like that's tough on his back though! But then I saw that they start him low then increase the height later. Great stuff
