Faster, not bigger

Skill is important during the season games. Playoff's are different. Considering how you get banged up pretty bad during playoff's. You need big bodies and speed.

Just watch how Anaheim is going to run over the Flames in the 2nd round. Most of their top 2 lines are bigger than Flames.

Calgary will not run over Anaheim. Ducks have it all, speed, size and skill.

Last time I checked, you can't win with speed alone...you can't win with size alone...you can't win with skill alone.

To be a championship team you need a COMBINATION of size, speed, skill and a nice helping of meanness. A championship team is like a three legged stool. If you're missing anyone of the three key components (size, speed and skill...nastiness is like icing on the cake), you're likelihood of winning the cup is diminished.

Anaheim has all three key components...so do the Rangers (10 of their regulars being over 200 lbs, with 7 being over 210 lbs.)...so do the 'hawks (7 regulars > 200 lbs.)...so do the Wild with 14 regulars > 200 lbs.

What did the Canucks have? Small guys with average speed and limited skills. Team needs to get bigger, faster, more skilled and badder.
