DanHamhuis2
The Arizona Coyotes is looking to move Antoine Vermette for a prospect and a roster player. The 32 year old is one of the league's best face-off men but he is also in the last year of his contract http://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/661164

timberz21
I know Snow had the gun to the temple, but Vanek went for 2nd rounder (Sebastian Collberg). So not sure what kind of prospect Arizona is expecting Not enough probably, but i'd do Richardson + 2nd rounder or prospect not named (Horvat/Virtanen/McCann/Shink/Cassel/Gaunce)
Warhippy
Seriously....for a guy who is simply billed as a faceoff specialist with 4th line production? Pffft rather dredge up Zenon Konopka if that's their asking price. Not happening not interested and so not going to even entertain paying that for an aging guy who is a UFA at years end that would end up taking valuable time away from Horvat by coming here Let someone else overpay
Master Mind
Someone like Pittsburgh could use him. He can play wing too, and the Pens have the assets to get him.

Not too many players can put up a lot of points playing for the Coyotes.
Warhippy
Pineapples, Who would you give up for him then knowing Horvat would lose ice time in obtaining him?
ButcherG
Matthias and a third. Vermette rocks, we should try to get him.
Dogbyte
Pineapples, Who would you give up for him then knowing Horvat would lose ice time in obtaining him? Richardson obviously. Throw in Grenier, Kenins, DeFazio or someone of this ilk for the draft pick.
D-Money
Wow, lots of ignorance in this thread. Vermette is a very good player, and someone will pay a decent roster player and a 2nd/3rd round pick for sure. Don't think it should be us though, as I don't think he addresses a glaring need (other than a faceoff specialist), nor does he put us over the top. Also, he'll likely be in the 4-5 million range after this season (if not more), so we won't be able to re-sign him going forward. And really, Horvat should be ready for more minutes next year anyways. The Coyotes would like to keep him, but can't sign a big contract with ownership up in the air. But I imagine with such restrictions ownership won't be interested in impending UFA's in return. They'll want someone with a reasonably priced contract who's around for at least one more year. He's the type of player that could fit on any team, anywhere in the bottom-9, and improve them. He'll be a highly sought-after rental.
Hunter.S-Kerouac
Richardson obviously. Throw in Grenier, Kenins, DeFazio or someone of this ilk for the draft pick. I second that throw Richardson at them I really like Kennis though but ya something along those lines. He would be a great pickup if we make the playoffs. Atm Vermette > Bonino. Vermette is also way better at faceoffs. I'm not saying we need him but if a team needed a center thats a fair asking price

Rick Grimes
I would take Vermette over most of our Bottom 9. Although I don't think we need him, the price isn't right for us, and I can't see him bumping any of our centers out. So it won't happen.

Not that I want him, just giving credit.

Not that I want him, just giving credit. Not saying he's not a solid player, but his production is not worth the asking price, nor is it worth shunting Horvats minutes on the back burner for yet another aging center. The last few of those we traded for didn't exactly work out very well for us and as we've the legitimate depth to call up another center is the last thing we need. Especially at that asking price
