The_Cros
Maybe it's just me, but it would be nice to see Horvat get an opportunity on the 2nd line power-play. A young talented player, who has the ability to put the puck in the net (or set someone else up), but hasn't been given the opportunity. Bonino hasn't been producing much of late and maybe needs a wake up call. Maybe the time is now to give him that chance....Thoughts?

Mimerez
Sure. Apparently, the 2nd PP unit has only scored twice. If that's true, putting Horvat in won't hurt.
-AJ-
Technically, the 2nd unit scored twice tonight, but the Matthias goal was kind of a 3rd powerplay unit, really.
Phil_314
It makes sense to have a kid in a major role like that if we're going to go young in the near future, plus if we're keeping someone so young and with so much potential we might as well let him expand his offensive game in the NHL with that opportunity. Going with the youth theme, something like Twins - Kass, with Edler and Vrbata on the back end, for the first unit would look sweet, while some mix of Horvat/ Bones/ Higgins with Matthias (net screen), Vey (setup guy) and a shot from the point would be great too, as the four of the five forwards I've included are 26 or under, which is very much just entering their prime. Duodenum
Hasn't shown the offensive prowess to justify the promotion.

Dogbyte
No I don't think so. As much as I hate the glut of third line type players we have they deserve the chance more than Bo, who hasn't shown great offence. Although perhaps a short stint of a game to see if he can add anything there might be worth a shot. If anything I think he should start getting more PK minutes first. Hoosierdaddy
Hasn't shown the offensive prowess to justify the promotion. he's our best face off man. I'd give him time for that reason alone. We have a better chance of scoring if we have the puck lol. Plus, it's not like he's a sack of hammers. He's still a skilled player. Maybe getting a little time there would help that element of his game grow as well.
hatedkid666
I would like to see him get an opportunity in a blowout and see where if goes from there
Mr.53
Bo has some great in front of net presence too. In London, he was pretty dominant when used in that role. He can be used for his face-offs, and then plant himself in front of the net like Burrows.

Mike Vanderhoek
I think its just more a case of him breaking into the League and earning such roles. I don't see any issue here and he could very likely end up playing some PP time, not too worried about it. From what I have seen and based off of the current roster Horvat seems to be in the right role and has success this year.
RUPERTKBD
I don't think this idea is being given nearly enough attention... ...you should bring it up a couple more times....

Brewmaster12
Still has to work with his offense, not convinced that this year is the right time. I liked to see him use his body crashing the guy in the board and giving space for Richie to pass to Matthias, but it is not enough. However its great that he is given bits of chances in PP, and the units might change through out the season, until maybe they'll put him to 2 nd or even 1 st unit

If he was he would take a lot more faceoffs than 9.7 draws per game, which is the least out of any of our centers. That being said, I think he's better than Bonino, who does take the draws on the 2nd unit.
CRAZY_4_NAZZY
I recall from Horvat's 2012-2013 season he had 16 PP goals while being a net front presence Looks like he was a constant presence at the front of the net and had good IQ where to be, when to pressure, when to slip away. I think he would be a viable option for that 2nd unit. 2:42 - my correction he had 17 PP goals in the regular season in his draft year. Considered a PP specialist on top of everything else he was scouted to be

If they can keep at the same pace as yesterday, and there is no reason to believe otherwise, watch the DORSETT - HORVAT - BURROWS line become the second line.
