This way we're ensuring the TP are safe from the vote by a huge margin. You're basically arguing that it's a horrible idea not to buy a lotto ticket because otherwise you can't win a million bucks. Exactly what he said. Logically it seems like the best game move. If VIC is lying, he deserves to rot in mafia hell. If VIC is telling the truth, let the alliance begin! Link to comment

If what you were arguing for had any merit, the TP would be trying to force a tie every round because then no TP would be hung. Of course. It gives the mafia a free round to make a kill and have no evidence for their guilt based on the previous round's voting.
