SamJamIam
Anyone else noticing Virtanen getting open only for Crouse to just chip his passes up the boards over and over?
-Vintage Canuck-
Finland as well. Pretty good game Fucale has been giving up some rebounds, which could bite him later on.
Canucks1219
Anyone else noticing Virtanen getting open only for Crouse to just chip his passes up the boards over and over? They have had poor chemistry all tournament.
SamJamIam
They have had poor chemistry all tournament. It's certainly telling when Fabbri gets 10 seconds with Virtanen and they generate 2 real solid chances.
-Vintage Canuck-
Penalty on Sam Reinhart. Score a goal then take a penalty. Similar to what Yannick Weber did last night.
Guest Dasein
Crouse and Virtanen are similar - both guys need a creative skill-oriented guy on their line to be optimal.
drdeath
Dat dangle by Virtanen. If that goes in it could be a goal of the tournament

Canucks1219
Corey Pronman @coreypronman · 22s 22 seconds ago Good first periods for Saros Fucale Domi Honka Nurse Virtanen. Virtanen started slowly and got stapled to the bench for one shift, one powerplay, and one penalty kill, but I thought he finished the period well. viking mama
JV did show us his skill there on that shift. He's building,..let's see if the coach double-shifts him or moves him up as the game carries on,..like he did vs the Germans. I'm fan-girling all over this kid! LeanBeef
Ritchie-McDavid-Virtanen out for a brief shift together.ended up with a sick move and big hit. Ritchie's only goal in the pre tourney games started with a Virtanen hit. Virtanen had 3 assists when playing with Ritchie in a main camp scrimmage. Hope they keep the line together Plus Lazar actually looks good with Petan

You'd think he hit on Benoit's wife with how little ice time he's getting. So frustrating.
viking mama
Anyone else noticing Virtanen getting open only for Crouse to just chip his passes up the boards over and over? He looked great at the end of the German game when the coach shook the lines up & double-shifted him. Needs a more creative centre, certainly. This probably isn't it but maybe he's saving Virtanen for later in the game when the other team is tired? Virtanen can use his speed more effectively when the other team's gassed. Also noticed that Virtanen played the most in the 3rd
Canucks1219
Let's not go too crazy about Virtanen, a fourth liner (whether he deserves it or not), losing ONE shift to the 13th forward that plays the same position as him.
