Zfetch
Clearly the Oilers wanted Patrick Roy. Mactavish out-tavished again.
Gollumpus
I thought Roy cleared waivers? So why didn't the oilers just pick him up from waivers? were they only allowed to pick up one player? so they claimed Fraser? Confusing Well, I suppose the Oilers do get to dump a contract by trading for Roy rather than picking him up on waivers. Nashville gains $400,000 in cap space (not that they need it), and Arcobello is a RFA at the end of the year while Roy is a UFA, so I suppose there's some value there. Beyond that, I like nuck's thought. regards, G.

nuck nit
Worth noting since Draisatl will likely have been assessed as being a major piece of the future.EDM also coming up to 40 games, which would burn a year of Draisaitl's free-agency timetable. Tangerines
If Leon had ANY possibility of becoming remotely close to what Kopi is the coilers ruined that. EDM where amazing prospects go to die. What a shame.

DeltaSwede
Gotta feel for the Oilers. Man oh man, stupid move. Roy is done, waste of Draisaitl not going to World Juniors, Arcobello can be useful. Terrible management.

He had a very short-lived career, mostly due to head injury (concussion). He's one of those guys who have brought suit against the NHL due to these types of injuries. regards, G. HC20.0
Edmonton had the right idea in acquiring a center but... Why get rid of one, let alone Arcobello who hasn't been half bad actually. They're in dire need of center depth. One step forward, two steps back.
